Flawless
Flawless by Heather GrahamNew York Confidential series #1. Romantic suspense.Finnegan’s is a long standing popular pub in lower Manhattan. It’s been family run for generations with Kieran and her three brothers the current generation running it. She’s a criminal psychologist by day and bartender by night. When her brother tries to help a friend and steal a diamond, Kieran knows she has to be the one to return it before it’s missed. In the middle of discreetly returning the diamond, the store is robbed. Fortunately, FBI Agent Craig Frasier is part of the investigating team and with Kieran’s help, they realize there are two crews stealing diamonds, one that carries only fake guns, another that is killing all witnesses. Evidence points to Finnegan’s.Fast moving suspense as the FBI officially investigates and the family asks their own questions with Kieran in the middle. Lots of secondary names since it’s a bar with large family and friends. Amusing but typical disguises by Craig. Kieran’s psychological job adds some interesting distraction and depth. Romance is fast since the book timing is less than two weeks. Secrets remain which may cause problems in future books of the series.Intriguing and smart. Technology is a bit outdated (published in 2016) but that’s going to be every book now as fast as it’s changing.

Heather's Back
For a synopsis of Flawless, please read that here on this site. It is written much better than I can write it. Here's why I liked the book......In this book, the mystery is very interesting and, there's a bit of humor also. The story is developed much better than some of her recent stories. I like all of Heather's books, but some better than others because I like more detail. That is how I "see" the story happening. Heather is back to her "more detail" writing in Flawless. As usual, there are twists and turns in the story that will totally throw you off the "bad guy or girl". A wonderful relationship between Kieran and Craig develops very quickly but realistically. If you like romantic suspense, you will really like this book.

Easy and enjoyable read
Perfect for relaxed reading to switch off my brain after a busy day. Somewhat predictable with one dimensional characters. Not exceptional literature but enjoyable.

Hope You Enjoy, Great Book
Great book. As always there's a few twists and turns. If you've read very many of my reviews, Heather is one of my favorite authors. Never read a bad book. If your just now being introduced to her, this would be a good book with which to start. Hope you enjoy.

Heavy on the suspense; light on the romance
Things I liked:I liked the characters and I LOVED the pub. Graham was able to capture the sense of community that surrounds a family-run pub, frequented by locals. There were some unexpected twists in the story that I really liked and the suspense of not knowing who was involved, who wasn't, and who was ultimately responsible for the bad things, was well done. What I didn't like: (No spoilers!)The h was not TSTL (too stupid to live) however, she flirted kind of close a couple of times: 1) near the end of the book, insisting that she be taken to the family pub simply because her brothers were there when she knew the dangers; 2) claiming client confidentiality as the reason why she couldn't/shouldn't reveal to the H the information shared with her was pretty weak. If she could do for the informant what she did, she could have found some way to pass on the info and still protect her informant. This was definitely a suspense novel and did well as a suspense novel. It was not what I would call romantic suspense simply because there was no romance. At 50% of the way through the book, she's still not trusting him and he's still suspecting her. At the end of the book, they've known each other barely two weeks and they're now in a committed relationship?? But all of their interactions outside the bedroom have revolved around the case! There was no romance. Frankly, I wasn't able to really SEE why they ended up in a relationship. If you want a book that is focused more on the suspense, than this is your book. If you want a book that is more romance, just be aware that there is not a lot of that in here.

As usual, a great book!
Heather Graham is one of the best authors I have ever known. I’ve been reading her books for years and still love her style of writing. This one in particular, where the characters are so well developed and the plot full of twists and turns when you least expect them. I highly recommend this author and this book. On to the next one.

Good read with twists and turns
My third Heather Graham and I think I'm addicted. A good story with romance thrown in. I like the characters, the pub and the twists and turns. I guessed one of the bad guys but not the other and felt for the good guys when they found out. Time to pick another book ...

Great romantic suspense...
This is a typical Heather Graham, she always excels at romantic suspense. The paranormal element isn't prevalent in 'Flawless' however like her other books. It is a detective story set in New York City in and around a small pub that has been in the Finnegan family since the Civil War. Kieran Finnegan is a criminal psychologist who works part time in the pub owned by herself and her three brothers.Kieran is returning a diamond that was taken from a jewelry store when it gets robbed. She overcomes her kidnappers as she is not afraid to take action. Plus she needs to keep it a secret her real purpose for being in the store at the time of robbery. After helping to thwart the jewellery heist, she finds herself a heroine as she saves an FBI agent from being shot. Kieran is being touted a hero and media darling. Only Kieran is cringing from the spotlight and seems almost afraid of being seen on the news.Enter FBI Agent Craig Frasier, after another incident brings her back into the limelight, Craig sets his sights on having Kieran help question the suspects. They begin working together but her omission about the diamond lies between them. He has an immediate attraction to our heroine, but he knows she is hiding something. Even so, his protective instincts flare to life and he finds himself right in her bed.The suspense plot moved along steadily, I did stay up late until I had finished reading 'Flawless, to see what and who the bad guys were. Great read.

A really good read
Loved this book it had a really good story line with romance and suspense. My first attempt at Heather graham but I will read her again and look forward to more adventures with her family. My normal read is a physcological thriller but sometimes you just need to come down from that suspense and this book was just perfect still intriguing and had me second guessing but without the gruesome details of some thrillers. Definitely recommend it.
