I no longer dread using MLA formatting because of this book!
MLA made easy helped me through each stage of the writing process. It is much easier to understand than other versions of MLA books that I have used, not to mention much cheaper! The author uses accessible language and anecdotes to make dry subject matter engaging. Additionally, there are sample papers included at the end of the book to reference as well as videos on YouTube that are very helpful. I will continue to buy publications from this professor in the future!

Concise, Accurate, Easy
This is has been one of my favorite books as an English major in college and a current high school teacher. I'm so glad to have an updated version. This is so easy to read and reference. It's well organized and full of very clear directions and examples. It is my go to "cheat sheet" for how to write everything properly in MLA format.

Short and to the point
Despite it only being 58 pages, this MLA guide covers pretty much anything and everything you'll need in order to write a paper. I find it very difficult to read the official MLA Handbook because the text is so dense and boring, but this guide is written in a conversational tone and includes bits of humor that make it easy to read! I definitely recommend having this guide if you frequently use MLA style.

Another winner from Dr. Hatala!
I purchased the "APA Simplified" a while back, and it covered everything I needed to know. This concise guide to MLA does the same. It tells you what you need to know with examples in a short and easy read. THIS is what you need.

No Table of Contents
I'm using Kindle on my desktop and bought this because I'm going back to college. I bought the book and it's 900+ pages long. There is no table of contents. Nothing is linked. It's just like downloading a PDF from the internet except those are at least searchable. THIS source is rough. If you need to jump from citing a website to citing a book, you have to go all the way back to the beginning of the book and then scroll through the printed table of contents like it's 1998 and then look at the page number. Then you have to scroll to that page to find what you're looking for. Wouldn't be so annoying if it were a printed book but I bought the kindle version and it's trash. Save your money and just use the Perdue website where you can SEARCH your information. I'll be returning mine for a refund.

Not very useful
I did not find this booklet useful at all. I ended up having to make a trip to the university library to access the full edition. I think this slim booklet might be more useful to students who are in high school.
