Very easy to install and easy to read

Put a pair of these on a Char-Griller offset barrel smoker, did boiling water test right out of box and seem close enough to about where water boils and close enough to each other. Install was easy, 1/4" pilot and 3/8 hole. Big enough face to read and allows for close temp management for low and slow. The result of the first test on 2 small racks of baby back and 1 beef rack was outstanding.

Looked like a good temp gage, but has a shorter probe. Do not purchase if your BBQ/Smoker has insulated walls, it will be too short to install. Had to return.

Exactly what I needed. Bought a pair and both are accurate. Wish the diameter of the screw was bigger like my previous thermometers. Had to use a big fender washer to cover the gap between the screw and lid.

Drilled the appropriate size hole in my Weber Q2000 and added this. Installed in about 10 min. Seems accurate to other thermometers I have checked it against and makes it easy to tell what the temp is inside the grill rather than guessing how long to heat it up. Large face is easy to read at a decent distance.

I purchased this as a backup and as a secondary thermostat for my Pit Boss smoker. It does look nice and fits threw the factory hole with no modifications. However the needle moves painfully slow and struggles to reach temperatures above 150 degrees. I checked the temperature readings against two other thermometers and the Lava Lock thermometer reads 15 to 20 degrees below actual temperature. I guess that’s why it’s so cheap.

perfect size... 2.5" ... great quality for the price... can be adjusted by turning base.
