EDIT: after ordering from different companies with HORRIBLE quality wood i now see how excellent this wood was. Even if it came with a crack its WAY better quality than all other wood peices i have purchased. Changed to a 5 star ratingI loved it! It makes for an AWESOME wall hanging. I will say that it came cracked on both sides. That could be do to shipping of course but in addition to this it seemed to have some weak points while burning. But even still i was pleased with it and would definately order again!

I ordered 9 (medium size) slices as center pieces for my wedding. Great quality. Each piece of a wood is a different size. In the pictures I compared the biggest piece of wood with the smallest. Overall great product, would defiantly recommend.

I ordered 16 of these to use as a centerpiece bases for my son's wedding. They are very nice looking and thick; over 1" and the rugged type of bark adds a very nice touch. Most are totally round others a more unique shape which incorporated a bulge. I am very pleased, but have to agree to a certain extent with other reviewers who indicated the diameter was not as listed. About 2/3 were definitely 11" and even bigger, but others were not. Hopefully they will still work for what his fiancé wants to use them for. So be aware if you order several and really need them at least 11", they may not all arrive that size. I suggest if that is the case, you contact the seller and make sure they try to get them all as closed as possible.They come individually wrapped in clear wrap and are sanded. Very nicely packaged and are very attractive. I am not disappointed. Had to be shipped in 2 shipments due to the size of the order, but still arrived in a very timely manner.

My son just recently turned one year old and I decided to throw him a woodland animal themed birthday party. I wanted a decoration on the food table that would pop out and add to the woodland effect. I am glad I purchased this walnut basswood. When it arrived I was surprised to see how beautiful it was. The surface is very smooth, while the sides have that beautiful bark texture. It was also the perfect size for what I wanted to use it for. I have included some pictures to show you how I used it at my son’s party, and to give you an idea of its size. I think it looked really nice and went along great with the other décor. I have wanted one of these basswood pieces for quite some time. It is not something I will use just occasionally for a party, but every day in my own home décor! Overall, I am very much impressed and I hope to buy more of these in different shapes and sizes in the future. It is something I definitely recommend to friends and family and anyone who is interested in basswood for home décor or woodworking!

Great peace of floating wood and works well as a turtle dock for my slider, and will be big enough for him when he is full grown. Took one of the cheap peaces of plastic junk they sold me and took the side cups off, that do not stick to the tank anyway, and screwed the plastic ramp to the top of it with 4 brass screws, now the turtle swims right up to it and takes a little nap under the lights. Be sure to soak over night in the sink by holding under with brick to get all the resin out. Way cheaper than all that stuff that won't fit on your tank anyway. P.S. To the guy that answered my question with no, don;t say anything if you really don't know what your talking about.

The first one I got in the mail was great. The second order was not. It was not even around. It has a very odd shape to it. It was flat on one side of the around wood. I was able to find a picture to woodburn on it. I think next time I will have to go pick out my wood at the store in my town instead. That way I know I am getting Walnut Hollow Basswood Country Round like I need. And not a flat tire looking one.

FIRST: before you do anything with it, you should put a type of sealer on it so that it does last longer and so that it doesn’t chip. I didn’t do that correctly so i know for next time!But I Used this for a DIY advent wreath project I did and it turned out BEAUTIFUL. I’m so excited to put it as my centerpiece.

Exactly what I was looking for. The bark flakes off a bit but there’s not much you can do about that with untreated wood. Sealing it would solve that problem.

beautiful piece. Disappointment that it's smaller than 11x11 as memtioned in the original description. Smaller than what I needed.

This is by far my favorite product from walnut hollow. These are sturdy and sooo thick! Woodburning on these is my new obsession. So in love!

Used it as a cake base and we got a lot of compliments.
