How to clean inside 500 ml unit . Answered
I have been using this for over a year and it does what it is supposed to .My only issue has been mold growing inside the water tank and how to clean it.Since there is only 2 small openings there was no way to get inside to clean mold spots that wereforming. I tried filling it up with vinegar and leaving it over night but that didnt work. Neither didfilling it with rubbing alcohol. Last night I finally decided to try to open up the tank and if that didn't workI was going to toss this out in the trash. Do the following at your own risk. Gently twist the white top part sideways until you see it giving on the edge then be firm and pop it off. There are 2 tabs in front and back that are holding thison. The twist is the trick, I tried to pry it open from front to back and it wasnt giving . Now I got the tank open I am able to clean the inside , got rid of the mold and didnt have to toss this out

If you want for a small room, it's a good deal and works well
I wanted to use this in my bedroom, but it wasn't large enough, or the ceiling fan interfered with it collecting moisture. So, I moved it into the bathroom that's attached to my bedroom. In the medium sized bathroom, it does a reasonable job. It will not pull the advertised amount of moisture out within a day (at least I couldn't achieve anything close). After taking a shower, I close the bathroom door when I leave for work so my bedroom doesn't get damp.Performance in bathroom:* After 10 - 12 hours, the unit will have about a 1/2 inch of H2O in the reservoir.* After the whole day, it'll have 3/4 to 1 inch of H2o.* It keeps humidity around 48%, which makes towels and surfaces dry to the touch.* It would take over a week to fill completely.Having said all that:* It does dry out a medium sized bathroom down to 55% humidity after 8 hours .* It's not noisy (no rattles, clanking, etc.).* It's easy to empty, easy to clean (gets some mildew after a few days).* It's well made, small, rather attractive.All-in-all, I'm happy with its price-to-performance ratio and it takes care of a particular problem in a smaller, very wet room. That's not a 5 star because of how its performance is advertised, but it's a solid 4 star for me.

Not so whispery, but it works!
The media could not be loaded. The shipment came right away and on time! I had purchased two of these dehumidifiers because I live in a pretty moist apartment building. Placed one in my bedroom and one in my bathroom; both dehumidifiers started pulling water right away. I have to empty each one about once every 4-5 days. The unit in my bathroom runs 24/7; while l eventually have to turn my bedroom unit off at night due to the “whisper technology” not being so whispery (in my opinion). I am a light sleeper at most, I cannot fall to sleep wth the slight ‘humming (buzzing) noise’ going on in the background. This may be considered white noise to some or annoying noise to others— you be the judge. If you can sleep through the noises of a fan, making somewhat of a mid level noise, then you should be okay with this unit. I believe the unit should be a little more quieter. Other than that, I’m satisfied with this product—it actually works to lower the humidity to acceptable levels in both my bedroom and bathroom, which minimized my mold issue.

Pretty much useless
This product: Removed 75 ml of water in 24 hours starting at 60% humidity.Real dehumidifier: Removed 23,658 ml of water in 24 hours starting at 60% humidity! This is 315 times as much water. There are a lot of positive reviews of this product, (and all the other clones of it) but one thing they have in common is that none of them actually measured the humidify in the room to see if it made a difference or compared it to a normal dehumidifier. They just "feel" like it's working, and they are impressed that there is some water in it after an entire day (like magic!). Just "feeling" like it's less humid is not good enough for me, so I did some extremely basic science to see if it worked. I put it next to one of several temperature/humidity sensors I have been using to monitor different areas of my home.Test 1: LUOYIMANBasement living room, about 500sq/ft. It started at 60% humidity, which is where it had been for about a week. After 2 days it had collected about 150ml or half a tank of water (OH BOY!). The humidity level was still 60%.Test 2: Keystone 50 pintThis test was in the same basement living room, about 500sq/ft. I set it to 45% and ran it for 24 hours and it collected 50 pints of water! Started at 60% humidity and got it down to 45% and kept it there until the tank was full.Test 3: LUOYIMANBathroom, less than 100 sq/ft. It was so humid in the room that water was dripping off the toilet tank (our ground water temp is around 50 degrees). After running for an entire day, the toilet collected more water than this dehumidifier. There is no better condition for this thing to perform well, and it still did next to nothing.I literally threw this in the garbage. To be fair, this might be better than nothing in a small closet, but that's the best I can say about it. The product "works", it just can't do any of the things that it claims to do.

Does what it says it would do - sucks water out of the air
So there are tons of versions of this very same gadget sold by different vendors (they all slap a different logo on it), so I chose this one as it was cheapest. Most of the reviews I have read were about removing damp from rooms. But I wanted it to lower the humidity in my bedroom due to hot summer nights, where the high humidex makes it hard to sleep. I do use fans from my window to try and suck in cooler night air to the room. But then I would be sucking in more moisture too, so decided to seal the room, switch it on and try to sleep while putting the fan in my livingroom window instead. Mixed success, as the room was hot hot hot without the fan, but the machine magically had a pool of water sitting in it the next day. Must admit I did not sleep any better, so will try to combine the window fan with the dehumidifier. Wish I can afford the electric bill that comes with using an A/C, but it is just way too high. This little thing will have to do.
