I have the bellefit dual closure corset. I followed the fitting sizes exactly.Pros:• I had a c-section and this did a great job in supporting my incision which lessened the pain greatly.• It has helped flatten my stomach while wearing it.Cons: • Whenever I wear a top that fits closer to my body, you can see the lumpy frontal closure through the top making it obvious that I have something on underneath.• Because the corset is made to fit tight, it creates a very strong panty line visible through my pants. I wish they made a corset that fit more like mini shorts.• On each side of the corset at the top, there are really stiff pieces that jab into my hip bones and scratch my skin so I have to wear little pads there to protect myself.For the support, this is great. However, for the price I paid for this, I feel it should have performed better in all aspects.

Long before my C-section, I had decided on the Bellefit Corset to help with my recovery. My friends who had used it earlier gave it rave reviews. So in my third trimester, I promptly bought the size which I felt would be right for me after using the Bellefit app to gauge the best fit. But when I wore it postpartum, the Bellefit Corset’s size was too large. It bloused slightly in certain areas and fit like a long panty, stretching when I sat and not really holding its own as a belly support band should do. Before buying the corset, I had considered alternate brands and had narrowed down on the Bellefit corset after a lot of research. And the fact that it was not working for me made me very nervous. I hadn’t found anything close to second best. With a new baby and postpartum aches and pains, I had no time or inclination to resume my search for a ‘new’ product. I contacted the Bellefit customer service team who told me to try a smaller size. Even though the 30-day return period was long past, the service team exchanged the corset for a smaller size. The smaller size was much better and right away I knew that the fit was close to perfect. I wore it as per instructions and advice and kept my fingers crossed that I would finally achieve the desired results. It worked!! Not only did it help support my belly shrink, it provided me with back support. It helped my recovery and gave me the confidence to resume light routine chores. Days after my surgery, I was walking well and was very active. The downside was that the boning on the sides bruised my skin and after some days of constantly digging into the same areas, became unbearable to wear and keep on long enough for it to be effective. I then removed the boning from the sides and tried wearing it. That was more than this ‘hand wash only and dry flat’ product could take. It fell apart, with balling, threads and loops hanging all over the waistband: a tattered, itchy mess. It gave up on me and I nearly gave up on it. Nearly two months had passed after my C-section and I felt let down. But for the Bellefit customer service team which was unrelenting in its belief that this could work for me, I would’ve just stopped using it and assigned it to the dumps. Finally, I bought the Bellefit Dual Corset Girdle and wore it with some initial reluctance. A couple of days later, I realized the Bellefit Dual was the right choice. This is the one I should’ve bought foremost. If you are on the heavier side and have had a C-section, the Dual is by far the best of the selection of Bellefit Postpartum recovery girdles and the one I would recommend. It’s easier to wear, provides better support and simply put, works.
