Q: Can these go in the oven and/or boiling water?

Just sayin’ — we grew up across the street from a corn field. I’ve eaten a lot of corn in my time and every time at Mom & Dad’s the corn holders were pushed into the ends of the cob BEFORE they were cooked — in boiling water. Much easier and less danger of burning hands if you’re able to put them on the corn before cooking. From the answers here, I take it these are not made for that, but just wanted to say there ARE holders made for that and people who use them that way.

Q: Are these dishwasher safe?

Oh, I like these. I've put them in the dishwasher lower rack with the utensils every time. No problems. I didn't care much for the butter thing though.

Q: How do you use the butter spreader ?

You cut a stick of butter in half. Place in spreader with small opening, place the pusher against the butter and push down on it.

Q: where are these made?

Original packaging probably had that info, long gone now if i had to guess not the USA
