Q: Would this flow meter work on a hot water line?

Sure, it measures what passes through, why would you want to measure it?

Q: Will this fit US outdoor faucet & hose threads?

No, you'll need to buy three fittings on each end to to get it to fit your hose. There doesn't seem to be one adapter that will reduce it to a garden hose fitting thread. I purchased an adapter I could only find on ebay that's a 1" female NPT x 3/4 Male NPT pipe. The other two adapters I bought at home depot. One is a 3/4" female NPT x male garden hose adapter the other is a female x female garden hose adapter.

Q: Has anyone tried this one the house? I want to put in an apartment building to measure water into the restroom.

It will work, but as a tenet, I would t stay there

Q: Can i periodically reset the counter?

No there’s no way to reset it
