My Magic Mud Activated Charcoal Toothpaste Cinnamon Clove (4 oz)

I really like this toothpaste and will keep using it. I would have posted before and after photos but they came out really blurry. I'll do another set and post an update.What I like about this product:* After a few days I noticed a decrease in how yellow my teeth are. I'd been using a whitening toothpaste for over a year without any results.* I no longer get the 'fuzzy' feeling in the afternoon like I normally did. Which is great because I am constantly fighting plague.* Morning breath no longer peels paint off the walls! My mouth still feels pretty clean in the mornings before I do my morning brush.* Helps keep breath fresh throughout the day* Yes there is a 'charcoal' taste, but its not overpowering. I think with the combo of the cinnamon the two minimize the strength of each other.* Its not gritty like I was expecting it to be.* The natural ingredients used. After comparing with several other products this was the only one I found that is made in the U.S. and doesn't have the triclosan or glycerin.What to expect:* Even though you are expecting it, there's no foaming which is weird the first time you use it. Obviously your mouth will turn black.* Your teeth are not going to turn movie star white after one use! This eliminates surface stains only and slowly, progressively whitens. If you have intrinsic stains (stains inside the tooth) this is not going to remove them. They are very difficult even for a dentist to remove as the staining is part of the tooth, not attached to it. If you're not seeing any type of difference in the yellowing of your teeth and you have the same issue with other whiteners I would suggest talking to your dentist about intrinsic stains.* The toothpaste spatter on the mirror will now be black. Should expect, but don't think of it until you see it.* Rinse your brush with hot water to help keep brush from turning black.* Eventually your toothbrush will stain black. Mine hasn't yet, but I'm sure it will. Might not happen until it is time to change brushes anyways.* You will have to rinse your mouth a couple of times to get all the black out. The instructions do say to go over your teeth again with a clean brush to get all the black.* Definitely rinse the sink after rinsing your mouth as it does spatter. Hot water will do it. If you let it sit then obviously it will be more difficult to remove.Hopefully this was helpful. If you get this toothpaste I hope you enjoy it!

I am always on the hunt for a great natural toothpaste and this one ranks high on my list. Keep in mind that it is black and could splatter so I use it in the shower. The paste rinses easily but I wouldn't want to get it on my clothes. It doesn't lather up but you can feel it working immediately. The flavor is a pleasantly mild cinnamon clove and a welcomed change from the usual mint. It also cleans more thoroughly than regular paste. The most noticeable part is that my breath stays fresh longer and mouth feels more fresh throughout the day. My teeth look subtly whiter after a few weeks of use. I will definitely buy this product again!

I got this to help with my pregnancy-related tooth pain and it is very helpful. It makes my teeth whiter and they feel much better now. It also reduces gum bleeding.That being said, the toothpaste is black, which makes it look really gross while you are brushing your teeth and makes a bit of a mess. It's supposed to be black--it's the activated charcoal that makes it black, but if you are already in a suggestible state, and then you smear black toothpaste all over your teeth, it can make you want to gag.Also, I find the flavor a little hard to take.However, I am very grateful for the existence of the product, because it really does help my teeth look and feel healthy. I plan on continuing to use it, despite how gross it seems.

I’ve been using this for six months, near daily. I quit smoking back then too. I also had my teeth cleaned right when I quit. I just had my next six month cleaning and my hygienist was amazed! She didn’t have much to clean (like three quick scrapes), she was done pretty quickly. Other than quitting smoking, this was the only thing I did differently. And I’m not that super crazy with the oral care regiment stuff, just enough to maintain. This stuff knocks out everything fast, every time I use it. You can literally feel the difference even in a fast furiously late brush. Boom! Done. And Yes, it initially appears to whiten beautifully as well, quite remarkably, but it also does so much more! The xylitol combined with charcoal utterly destroys plaque. And the addition of clove is brilliant on multiple levels. This is just an all around excellent formula. Unfortunately, the mess and extra cleaning time involved in using this is a hindrance, but you will learn to adapt. Just Adapt! It’s totally worth it!!! I love everything about this toothpaste and I hope they keep making it!

Likes: 1) Tastes great, love the cinnamon. 2) Leaves breath fresh and mouth clean. 3) Cool graphic designing. Dislikes: 1) Too oily. I use an Oral-B electric toothbrush, and the paste always leaves residue in the small parts of the brush (not the bristles, the mechanical parts). I'm scared this is gonna plug up or mess up my Oral-B, so for this reason I won't be using this paste anymore. 2) Too messy. After every brushing, my sink is full of black or grey drips to clean up. 3) Doesn't lather (so to speak) which means it doesn't feel like you have enough on your brush or that it's doing anything while you're brushing. I like to feel like things are getting cleaned when I bathe or brush, lol.

Woke up not looking forward to my day, then brushed my teeth with this toothpaste and in the mirror I glimpsed myself as a Zombie, really cool black teeth, drooling black drip from the corners of my mouth, all the while knowing that the paste was doing cool stuff to my mouth and tongue! And no Zombie taste for flesh or wandering around wacking into stuff. My mind was racing - how could I best use this effect to my benefit? Better seats in the theater, restaurant, etc. at least. Maybe more respect at work, who knows? In my happy mind I was reminding myself - but lots more if this stuff as soon as I am finished brushing! Results were spectacular - my teeth and tongue were really clean and I am expecting that further use will reveal whiter teeth should I decide to rinse the black away.
