Great product.

This is the second set that I bought. Just simply because the price was right. I will probably buy an ND 2000, but I'm really not sure where I'm going to go. Filters are sort of confusing, and I need to do some practice with these ones. But I will say that the quality of these filters are good. Nice metal rims that are precise in the threading.Would I buy them again? I already did

I am not a professional photographer. I'm just an average retired dude that wanted a little better camera and accessories to go with it.I recently purchased a Panasonic Lumix FZ80 camera and a few accessories from Amazon.com. One of the accessories was this Neewer 55mm lens filter & hood kit.The lens filters all fit fine but I've not really tried using any of them for taking photos yet. The rubber tubular lens hood is badly misshapen because of the way it was packed in the box. I don't know if it will ever resume its normal circular shape. But I will only use it when I have to zoom way in for a photo.The biggest problem I have is with the Tulip Flower Lens Hood - it does not fit well and the petals appear in photos. There are no (zero) installation instruction packed in this kit. I get just a little over one turn on the threads and then have to back it up a little to position it properly and tighten it with the locking ring. I'm almost certain that if I happen to bump the hood, it will pop off. It just does not seem to fit securely. It is NOT cross-threaded!Next, the left & bottom petals appear in the camera's view screen AND photos. This happens on the default startup view on the camera which is suitable for most of what I may want to take pics of. I have to zoom in to make the petals disappear which may not be possible all of the time!The kit description says "Professional". Since the rubber tubular lens hood is misshapen and the tulip lens hood does not fit/work well, what can I expect from the lens filters? I would not call this a "Professional" product. I will probably be returning this kit to Amazon for a refund.Attached is a photo showing how the left & bottom petals appear in a photo.

The filters are nicely made, no defects or flaws in the glass or the aluminum frame. The only thing that's inevitably going to be problematic is the collapsible rubber hood, which arrives packed in such a way that it gets flattened on one or two sides. This deformation becomes clearly visible with a wide angle lens, although I'm sure it would be fine for something with a longer focal length. Conveniently there's a petal hood that works perfectly with my wide angle lens in this kit.

I have some other Neewer photo/video stuff and have been satisfied with this brand. It's not a huge name brand but for an up and coming company I am finding their products to be reliable. The build is a little cheaper feeling in the hand, but as far as function goes, they do their job just as well as the big guys, so hey, why not save that money for another lens or a trip to a shooting location. Would buy this brand again, but if the name brand is a comparable price, I would probably still buy the name brand. I shoot with Pentax, Nikon, and Tamron glass, which isn't cheap, so if there's an add on that doesn't compromise my shot, I'm okay with using it.

I received the filters and they all appear to be good quality. The lens cap is an improvement over the one that came with my camera, but could be improved if the connector wasn't a stick-on but tied onto the cap. I'm concerned the sticky will come lose at some point so I keep my old lens cap in the case as backup. The tulip lens hood is lightweight plastic and is a bit tricky to get installed correctly, especially if you have one of the filters on the lens. I did notice that with some filters on, my camera auto-focus had some problems locking when using different settings. I've never used filters before so assume this is normal because of the light difference. I look forward to using them. I liked that the filters come with a storage case which seems sturdy.

Being an amateur, I am not ready to spend a hundred dollars on each filter so I wanted a set for my largest filter sized lens to use with step up adapters. This is a great one to start with. It all fits my fairly new 11-22mm wide angle EOS M lens. I also ordered step up adapters for my other lens filter sizes so I can use a single filter for any of my EOS M lenses. I just got the set today so I can't say anything about vignetting or any other possible distortions, but the package has 2 nice filter holders and a micro fiber cloth which is always nice to throw into your bag. I didn't need the lens hoods or the lens cap string, but the rest easily seems to be worth the price and then some. It may be a few weeks, but I'll try to update this review once I get out to shoot with the filters. Worse case, it was only $20.

what I needed for a new lens

These filters are awesome. They came just in the nick of time to take them to the Dominican and I got some amazing shots that I wouldn't have otherwise been able to get. The carrying case is really great as well. The UV filter arrived with the glass dislodged from the housing ...I contacted them and they immediately sent a new one...a better one at that! Totally recommend.

Excellent value, comprehensive kit for beginners or those on a budget. All the basic filters for a journey into photography and an introduction into what filters can do for you. Does the job nicely. Not the super duper best quality finest filters money can buy, but more than functional and well priced. Not junk.
