although some of the articles can be too common place, the overall selection is very good.

I was recommended this book by a professor for my thesis. Although short clippings does save time, the ones discussing theories on gothic literature do not hold water because the supporting evidence is missing. A good read but not for someone trying to write a thesis paper or for anyone who wants to learn more. The parts from novels that I have read where enjoyable but again it is just a page or two. This is less against the book and more against my professor.
