Look No Further for watermelon slicing
This inexpensive knife is very well made, long length and sharp. I went searching for a longer knife to cut watermelon. There were a number of knives to choose from on Amazon for cutting watermelon. Why have I struggled so many years and always dreading cutting a watermelon? I tried gimmicks, various devices and tools only to end up with a mess, sad looking cut up melon and leaving me to contemplate even buying another one until NOW.If you decide to try this knife, I would like to suggest 'not be discouraged' upon first seeing it. I initially questioned how this oddly shaped, thicker blade would do what it purported to do. Well it did and cut right through the watermelon rind with ease. I first used in on a small, personal sized watermelon and it was like cutting through a nice thick loaf of french bread. In no time I had the little watermelon sliced, rind removed, cut up in bite sized pieces and placed in a bowl for the evening's dessert. Two days later I purchased a standard size watermelon and had the same amazing results! At 68 years old I realized two things - I never stop learning new and wonderful things; and I can now buy, slice and eat watermelon to my heart's content.I highly recommend this knife based on using it to slice watermelon. I have not tried it on anything else. I don't want to dull the knife, so it is now designated as my melon cutter! I know it is not an expensive knife, but I am treating it like it is by not putting it in the dishwasher or using it for anything else for now. I will update this review if I decide to try it out on other items.Oh, I should mention - watch your fingers / hand while slicing. It is very sharp. I still have a bandage on my pointer finger because I got a little too confident and careless cutting away. It is just a small sliver of a cut, but it could have been a lot worse. 100% my fault - but testament that the knife is SHARP.

Love
Bought for work because no one takes care of the ones there. They keep a nice edge on them and I care for it and the blade every day I use it.

Slippery handle- blade is a touch thicker so fails for what I wanted
For the price- it's fine. I don't care for the slick handle. God forbid you use latex type gloves when you prep/cook.It's ok sharp but I put my ceramic sharpener rod to it as it needed it obscene sharp for my leg of ham from Spain. I realize there are other styles of knives that can be a better fit. I had a shipping time issue so went with this. It's just too thick for me to do paper thin which I was hoping for. I am sure it will be fine for roasted beef and basic slicing. It's a big knife so it will handle a huge roast I would say. Price is good. The handle has no grip to it. It needs some texture because if you use latex gloves as I do sometimes (hands get dry, easier to sanitize, etc.)- be careful. I won't use them with this handle since I don't care to have it slip and well- you know.It was a fail for my serrano ham leg but the cheap knife they included worked funny enough. I also have a legitimate santoku knife that's thinner and suffices.Fine for slicing a roast I am sure though the handle is a fail and I don't need neon green to announce my knife's presence. No kids in my home.

Love this knife!
Love this knife! It is sharp and stays sharp. I have only sharpened it 3 x. Be careful if you are not good with knife handling it will cut you to the bone EASILY. As long as you are careful and get a good knife sharpener you should have years of service out of this blade. I hang mine on the wall with a magnet rack and I got the green handle so that no one would be nicked by its blade. It's not the prettiest thing in my kitchen but a sharp knife is a safe knife. My mom was afraid to use it at first but once she saw how she could slice tomatoes wafer thin she easily got the hang of it. One on the best Amazon purchases I have ever made. I might buy several more for family for Christmas.

Great Slicing Knife
Bought this to slice home made bacon (from pork belly). I have tried lots of other knifes, but this one is the winner! I use it now to slice trip-tip, steak, bacon, turkey...pretty much anything meat. Very sharp knife, and I keep it that way using a ceramic sharpening stick. Blade is a little more flexible than I would have cared for, but it makes it thin, so slicing is easy. Only thing is I wish it came with a sheath, but I will buy one in the near future. I also wish the handle were not neon green, but whatever it is made out of feels good in my hand and is relatively slip resistant. I wholeheartedly recommend this knife and expect to be doing a lot of carving with it this holiday season!

Perfect for Slicing Brisket or Tomatoes!
I've always had a hard time slicing tender brisket without tearing it up. At a well known BBQ restaurant, I noticed they were cutting with a knife that looked like this, and their brisket was as tender as anything I had smoked. After searching for "brisket slicing knife" and other things, I discovered that it was called a granton edge. Searching, I saw many that were far more expensive. I'm cheap. This was one of the cheaper ones that got great reivews so I bought it. WOW! It works fantastic. I've also used it on tomatoes and on chicken. I still use my chef's knife and serrated knives or other things, but when it comes to brisket or tomatoes, this is now my go-to knife.

Good value
Purchased these to use in butchering a couple of hogs. I was impressed by how well they did. I gave them a really good sharpening first, and was able to keep the edges honed easily with a steel for the entire couple of days I used them. The handles are on the large side, and although they are a good fit for my hands, they may feel too large for safe handling in a smaller hand.

Great Knife !
My boyfriends makes homemade jerky and needed a good knife to make those thin slices. He says cutting the roast is now like slicing into warm butter.
