When you order something you expect it to work the way it is supposed to but in this case two things that are not on this product. One I cannot install the updates from their website which is required for this product to work the way it is intended. and two I cannot hook the results up to my computer for analysis because again I cannot download the required updates from ANCE and it will not record any information. So because I cannot get the updates is it even working properly? I don't know. I have contacted the company three times via e mail and I did receive three responses which were the same: Directions on how to download the updates. I have followed all instructions, the same ones that come with the very small instruction manual that you will need a magnifying glass to read (I wish I was kidding) and to this day I try to install the updates just about every day with no luck. So if you intend to use this product I hope you live in China where the company is located because it would make it a lot easier for you to return it when you become so frustrated that you will want to pull your hair out. Good luck with that.

Just plug and play. The code will be displayed automatically and you will know the reason why the engine light is on. For the cost of just one diagnostic check at the mechanic, you can get this and still save about $30. It can also let you know if your car is ready for the Ontario Drive Clean test. Nice bright colour display, simple menu system and very tough plastic for the case. Small enough to fit in glove box without filling it up. Excellent for the price with all the details regarding the codes and alerts and real-time monitoring. It will pay for itself in no time.

Works with the Gen 2 Chevrolet Volt to clear a pesky 'check engine light' when the front active shutter grill freezes up and throws the check engine light. After three error reports, the light will stay on permanently and can only be cleared by the shop. Not any more! Plugged in this device, instantly communicated with my Chevrolet. The unit works very quickly and there's perfect enough length of cord to hold if comfortably. Wish it came with a little bag to protect it, but no big deal. Very happy with the price and quality of product. Would highly recommend this device!

I have used this type of reader before, and found the Ansel does the job it needs to do, "Reads the error codes, and allows you to clear them." . If you are familiar with similar tools, this one is perfect for any vehicle with OBDII interfaces ( and most cars have them). I had a check engine light error, found a gas tank leak (which I had to get fixed), but cleared my own errors. Saved the $$$ for a check up with it's first use. Definitely worth it.

I returned this product because, although the description says 'free software updates', the updates are only available for a Windows operating system, not Mac. This is the 2nd unit I'm returning for the same reason.
