If you think it doesn't work you may have the volume off on accident.
Overall Impression:-It works very well and is pretty easy to install (some tips below). It doesn't get false alarms if set up properly and in the right direction. You can hear it through the house easily when it chimes.Pros:-Reasonably priced and appears to be a brand you can buy other equipment from.-Works well, when someone goes within the range set (we have ours at 20 feet, too high would go off too much falsely, less than 20 feet would miss things) on foot or in a vehicle, it goes off. If it doesn't go off, you may not have the range set far enough for the area you want to monitor. If everything sets it off, it may be set too far out. 20 seems just right for our normal, one lane driveway.-There are a lot of choices for the alarm chime (some are a bit annoying, most are pretty normal). We set ours to the same chime as our doorbell, since we were already used to it and would go to the door anyway. It’s pretty easy to set up the alarm sound on the inside unit.-The alarm has volume settings. We have our receiver on high and placed in a central location in the house (ours is in a hallway in the middle of the house about 1/4 acre from the mailbox I'd guess) and if you pick the right chime tone (the musical ones sound like a phone, and we wouldn’t hear them as easily, we picked a doorbell like sound) you can easily hear it throughout the house.-It was pretty easy to install. My husband did the outside part, I did the inside part and programming. You do need to read the instructions to do it right. It was installed in about 15 minutes with minimal tools.-He put it on a tree a few feet from the driveway. Don’t put it too high or too low. Too low (say ankle level) you’d get birds setting it off. Too high cars wouldn’t set it off. He put ours about knee level so it would catch motion from humans on foot and it does.-He has it set for 20 feet and when it is passed by someone on foot or in a vehicle the alarm chime goes off. He was sure to point it at the driveway not the road to avoid it going off from passing cars.-The inside alarm plugs in the wall. The outside alarm takes a square battery 9v that's the standard you'd put in a fire alarm. So no special batteries are needed.-The company that makes it appears to make other home security products that we're going to take a look at since we like this one so well.-The receiver for the alarm (inside the house) allows you to add on 2 more area alarms (they do not come with it, just the one for the driveway) and set a different chime tune for each one.Cons:-There really aren't any. However, you may make the same mistake I did at first and think the unit is not working. I'll explain a bit below.Tips:-The instructions are printed (see pictures) out for more than one unit on the same paper. This unit does not require you to open the indoor receiver (another one on the paper does, and I had a moment I thought this one had to be opened-do not open it). You'll see it on the paper, but it is not for this model. This model is fully programmed from buttons on the rear. Those buttons are how you set it up.-If you think it's not working be sure the receiver inside is on the same zone number (1, 2 or 3) as the transmitter outside. They have to be linked. The linking is done from the inside receiver by pressing the buttons as directed in the instructions.-Here's the mistake I made that others may make and think the unit is not working or defective. When you set the zone you have to press the button again to set it. So when turning the volume to high, I accidentally hit it one more time thinking I had to set it. Instead of setting it on high, one more button press put it on silent. So check to see if it's on silent.-We have a mailbox alarm (not included with this and from a different brand, I highly recommend one) and it alarms (sensor on the mailbox door, plug in the wall indoor receiver) and leaves a red light on. If you don't hear the alarm for some reason, the red light lets you know it was on and the mail is there, you have to manually press a button to clear the red light when you come back from getting the mail (we have ours by the door). This unit doesn't have a light that stays on like that and you manually clear letting you know your driveway was accessed. I wish it did because if we didn't hear it for some reason (say in the shower, you'd hear it most of the time), we'd know someone had been there or a package delivered. It's not a flaw in the unit, but something I had hoped it would have but it didn't.Final Impression:I'd recommend it and get it again. We're planning on adding units to the system. It's reasonably priced, easy to install and it works with accuracy and no false alarms or missed alerts (we've been watching it every day when the mail comes or we go in and out).Just be sure you have it on loud not silent, it's very easy to accidentally set it to silent on accident when you're initially setting it up the first time.

Works Well, But ....
You really need a clear line of sight for this to work. Or at least something close to clear. It's hard to imagine that anyone has 3/4 of a mile, with no obstacles to test that distance. This product does work very well if there is just a couple of yard trees. However, there are dense woods between my home and my gate, so this wasn't good for me.My daughter uses it successfully, as she has far fewer obstacles between her home and gate.

Works like a security guard
I put this alarm in the side yard entry gate area and the alarm part in my kitchen which is center of the house. The distance is not and issue. Md it sounds every time. I installed it high on the wall so that wildlife do not trigger it.I like in Orlando Florida and chrome here is rampant. The criminals are everywhere and they are stealing your garage and shed blind. This alarm lets me know since they have violated the fence and are in the private back yard area. In 2 months it has caught / trespassers.Maybe Orlando will start arresting these criminals yet for the time being I suggest everyone get one of these and save your property from being stolen.

Works sometimes
This is an electronic security sensor system for long driveways. The system consists of a receiver and a sensor. The sensor is powered by a 9V battery (not included). To access the battery compartment, you need a long Phillips head screwdriver. It has sensitivity settings for high/med/low and some with 2 plastic mounting options. The receiver can be paired with up to 4 sensors (additional sensors sold separately). The receiver can be powered either by a CR-2 battery or the included power cable that plugs into a wall socket. You can set different tones or melodies for each paired sensor.I have had mixed results with this system. I installed it by my package box at the end of my 900’ long driveway. When someone opens the box, the system usually rings in the house, which is better than other similar alarm systems that I have tried in this location. However, when people simply drive by the package box, the system usually doesn’t ring, so it doesn’t catch all the traffic along the driveway. Still, this is the first system that I have tried that will actually work at 900’ at least sometimes. For now, that’s good enough, but I’m hoping that someday someone will invent a more reliable system that will reach all the way down my driveway. Overall, this system has a fairly long range, but it doesn’t sense all traffic.

Almost works too good lol
I have a 1.3 acre property and often I'm sitting out back on the porch so I never used to know when somebody was at my driveway unless the dogs were barking. I have no cell reception in this area so nobody was able to call me to say they were at the gate. Same issue with deliveries. Definitely not a problem anymore! The receiver works very well in my house, at the 200-ft distance away from the transmitter. The transmitter is sensitive enough to pick up passing cars so I get a lot of false positives when the occasional neighbor drives down our dirt road, But to me it's better than not knowing someone is here so I don't mind. Probably going to consider changing the transmitter location due to the sensitivity but I am very happy with this product! Some of the longer tones can get a bit obnoxious, due to the sensitivity So I have it on a standard chime as it is a short tone therefore it's not bothersome. My experience with it thus far is nothing but positive and I will be buying one for a neighbor friend as a gift due to how well it works!
