This is a 100ml can of Tamiya PS-31 Smoke Lexan Spray Paint. These spray paints were developed especially for decorating transparent polycarbonate bodies used in R/C car modeling. Each can contains 100ml (3oz) of paint, which is the appropriate amount for finishing one 1/10 scale model.Painting polycarbonate bodies is done from the inside of the body shell as opposed to the outside of a traditional plastic model. When spraying body from the inside, keep the can about 30cm from the surface. After curing apply another coat as necessary. These paints are impervious to oil and fuels, so they can be safely used on gas-powered R/C bodies.Warning: Never use these paints on plastic models.

Excellent stuff
First, Tamiya makes good paint, whether it's spray paint or bottled, acrylic or enamel or lacquer or what have you. I've used several of the company's products and have not been disappointed. This polycarbonate "Smoke" paint is intended to be used on clear model car bodies, apparently -- and you paint from the inside? Don't ask me; I don't build model cars. But ship and aircraft modelers have found many uses for the "Smoke" paint, including, apparently, simulating oil discharges. As for me, I bought it to use as an overcoat for a big project I'm working on: Building Revell of Germany's 1/72 USS Gato submarine model. Instructions call for painting the lower part of the hull semi-gloss black, which I did by airbrushing Tamiya's brand of that. Afterward, though, I sprayed a light top coat of the Tamiya Smoke. It really, really brought out the details, which I was concerned about with this project because black paint tends to make things disappear.Again, all of Tamiya's products have been good to me, including this one. I have heard some complaints about this and other Tamiya paints running, but I didn't have that problem. Just go with light coats and be patient, building up color with successive coats if you have to do so.

Worked as it should
Shipped fast and worked great! If you are new to painting polycarbonate bodies take a few minutes on YouTube and take your time.I used tamiya for the entire body and didn’t have any reactions from this “window tint spray”This was my first paint job, overall good experience.

Be aware, it’s very translucent paint!
Be aware, this is very translucent paint. It is not a solid color. It stays true to is ‘smoke’ name. You can definitely see through it even after multiple coats. The actual paint and quality of the spray is great. I used this for a Traxxas RC car body. It’s durable, but if you’re looking for something less transparent, look elsewhere.

It’s a TINT.
It’s not like using paint. Same principal.Tint, is not just spray and go( if you are after a nice appeal).Does not dry evenly, some dark spots and light spots.Very hard to blend

Easy to use!
Only takes 3 very light coats to get an even tint finish. My bodies were already painted a few yrs back, so I used some food wrap and masking tape to mask the outside of the body not to get any overspray on the outside. Also masked off the body post holes and antenna hole.Turned out very nice.
