We had no problems!
After purchasing this product I read farther into the customer reviews. Seems like a lot of people had problems with their unit which made me regret my purchase. Well I am happy to say....we had no problems whatsoever. Took the unit out of the box and did the software updates. Everything went smoothly. We downloaded the system updates and then did all the manufacturer specific files. There was a display showing the status of the install. Don't know why others complained about the updates. Took less than an hour. Although we have a super fast internet connection. Anyway, we hooked it up to a 98 Ford Windstar that the transmission was having issues after having the motor out. Read the codes and cleared them with the unit. Trans works perfect now! While we were in there there was a lot of info displayed. Heck, you can adjust the idle speed! We didn't try but it looked easy to do. I didn't put a rating for value for the money but this one seemed to be one that could read diesel vehicles at what I could see as the lowest priced unit for that but perhaps there is a cheaper one? Also didn't rate tech support because we didn't need any. I am happy so far!

Fx6000
Fx6000 had a fault would not update ,USB power failure and when I connected to a Citroën c4 failed to connect message appeared. Hopefully was just a bad one, had to return the item as faulty. Did look good with all the connectors and also can program the ecu closest ones to do that are over £1000...had to give it 1 star didn't work...

Does not do all system interfaces on 4 of 5 vehicles tried.
I purchased this due to its bidirectional diagnostics capabilities. Have had issues with tablets that if the batteries discharged too much the device would not boot anymore due to not being able to take a charge. Did not want to take that chance with some of the tablet styles by other brands.Do the updates first. It contains very limited abilities if you don't.Upon opening the box it contained all parts and cables as described. The OBD2 and 12 OBD1 cables. It does not come with Ford OBD1 cables. Disappointing seeing this is the only OBD1 cable I really needed and why I spent the extra money for the OBD1 cables. My fault though I should have verified the cables it came with. The users manual was a little disappointing . Very basic. Does not say what the power supply requirements are for an external power supply. (i.e 12 Volts 3 A center post + or -).Attempted to update the scanner and the initial download resulted in 4 of 27 files properly downloading and installing. Tried again two times with no luck. Swapped cable and tried 1 file at a time. This seemed to work but very slow process and inefficient. Download speeds sometimes dropped from the server on files required for extended parameters and others all the way down to 3KB/s at times. After I was able to verify it was downloading one at a time I attempted to download multiple vehicles at a time succesfully. Swapped back to the original cable for the last two downloads and it was successful.I was still hesitant at doing an "update all" again due to it wasting lots of time if it failed. Total update time took about 3 1/2 hours.Acura 2002 RL only could access 3 modules out of 25 shown. PCM, SRS, and Transmission. Seemed pretty slow to communicate with the vehicle. All other modules cam back with unable to connect to ecu. No VSA,ABS,TCS,BCM or other modules. Basically a basic reader for the Acura with the ability to do real time monitors on genereric OBD signals. 2004 Ford Expedition 3 of 8 modules it listed can be used (PCM/SRS/ABS). Not much in extended manufacture sensor monitoring. Did have a few bi-directional capabilities but very limited in comparison to how many are actually available. Better than a basic reader but far from all system diagnostics. 1997 Corvette again minimal bi-directional functions. some but minimal manufacturer enhanced codes. A little better than a basic reader. No BCM/SRS/ABS. 2012 Lincoln MKX lots of information and enhanced manufacture codes works and reads a lot of manufacture specific signals for this one. If the other vehicles read this much information it would be a good diagnostics tool that would deserve high ratings. Due to the lack of enhanced codes on 3 of 4 cars tested Corvette, Expedition and RL this is far from an all system diagnostics tool and is definately not worth the price paid. Does not look like it does much more than the FX2000 by description of the FX2000 other than a few bidirectional tests and minimal enhanced manufacturer sensors. Sent email to Ancel and still waiting for reply. They need to update the Honda/Acura models and evaluate the 2004 Ford and 1997 Chevy programs for proper coding to allow the device to read modules like the 2012 Lincoln. Lots of unable to connect to ecu errors when trying any of the other modules other than PCM/SRS/ABS. Does not look like this does much more than the FX2000 although I have not tried one of the FX2000.

Decent scanner
I am trying to purchase a scanner for my ford F-150 and apparently there are not many code scanners that will perform complete functions on Ford vehicles. I am not extremely familiar with the many different types of scanners. with this scanner I was not able to register the product on the manufacturers web site but I was able to load the update, which was mainly a completely new user interface with a variety of reset functions. Noe of, which would work on my 2004 Ford F-150 Super Crew though I was able to manually enter the model and year. I Don't think this scanner is worth the asking price!
