Game changer- a must for anyone! Tips + Other innovations!
This product is life changing! Is it absolutely perfect? NoIs it pretty darn close? Yes!This works fantastic to give you longer quality of life during a period not worrying about leakage, changing tampons etc. I love it for overnight if you are having a heavy flow day. It really helps me ‘forget’ it’s that time of the month, which lets be honest, is pretty tough to do, but this product definitely helps with that! You ‘can’ even use this for sex protection- however I’d be careful with it, and track your period so you know your pregnancy odds in case it moves around. I have used it before a few times for that, and partner said they might could feel it but wasn’t really sure, and it worked out alright. The only downside to the disc is that removal is almost always messy, ‘sitting’ is necessary, you just hook the cup with your finger to pull out, and it’s easiest to remove/insert in the shower for less mess if that bothers you too much. Have tissue ready to rinse and set the disc on when you remove, and make sure you don’t have rugs or carpet near removal for any drips in removal. (trust me on that)Sneezing, heavy coughing, and sitting in certain weird positions can cause leakage so be careful with that too. If the cup isn’t pushed all the way up, you might get some leakage - just adjust quickly in the bathroom if you have a big, giant body cough or sneeze!Don’t let that be a discouragement in buying this though, it’s *still* 100% worth it despite those small hiccups that can often happen with a tampon or pad anyway. These are great with Thinx period panties or other brands if you want 100% no mess protection. The future of period/sex protection is now! Some other cool related products I recently discovered that are life changing:•VCF Dissolving Vaginal Contraceptive Spermacide Film - it’s a contraceptive breath mint strip for down there sex protection! Lasts for 3 hours for sex protection. What?! How did I not know about these. Mind blown!•Washable Period Panties - multiple brands help with leak free protection to keep clothes clear from any leakage or stains. Amazon even has their own brand that isn’t bad.•And THIS menstrual disc! Lasting leak free protection for hassle free, less stressful periods!Hope that helps! I will never be without one of these discs, and it really saves money on buying tampons/pads! The quality of life extra time I get back during my time of the month is 100% worth it!

Seems great so far !
Alright so I'm on day 3 of using the disc. For my first time ever. I've never used any other cup or disc before.Day 1 I used the smaller size and it worked perfectly with no issues. Then day 2 was tricky. My flow was heavy and it seemed like the small disc was not enough. I tried the larger size and that one too was seeming to leak.So I researched.I felt around for where my cervix was (do this in the shower I'd recommend) and my cervix to me anyways seems pretty high up. You really need to know where your cervix is in order to get the disc in the right place so that's step 1.Feel where your pubic bone is. Thats important too. Then I did a bend in the knee/squatted but not very low, idk but this helped me get the right angle for inserting the disc.Start off by facing the disc horizontal but slightly downward (as in the part that goes inside of you first is slightly downwards and the part you're holding onto is slightly upwards angle. Push it back as far as it will go (comfortably and it will actually stop in place naturally so don't force it.)Then make sure to get it past your pubic bone. My cervix is a bit behind my pubic bone where when I was researching it they make it seem like everyone's is directly behind it with not much space. I've had 4 kids and mine is higher up and it was quite a bit behind my pubic bone. So I pushed it a little further back when inserting. Anyways, when you feel like the back of it is in place, push the front of it upwards as far as you can (it should just stop when you feel it fitting in place, don't force it, don't jam it up there, you'll get a good feel for where it needs to sit). You cannot be afraid of feeling around inside for where this is supposed to fit or you'll probably have trouble fitting it in place. I spent some time in the shower figuring it out and on day 2 I took it out and tried to figure out its placement about 3 times before I felt around in the shower and realized OH that's where it's supposed to go.So now I'm on day 3 and this is my heaviest days is 2 and 3 usually, sometimes also 4. Anyways, I feel comfortable with it in. I've actually, genuinely had less cramping! I used to use all natural Tampons and wpuod cramp so bad. Day 3 and the most minute cramps. I didn't even know that was possible !Note this too*** self emptying is a thing. When you pee, your pelvic muscles will engage and it may self-empty. Meaning that blood will come out where you pee. You can practice peeing while holding your pelvic muscles in place so it doesn't self empty. I've done it when I haven't wanted to dive in to make sure the disc goes back in place properly afterwards. Because after it does self empty you should check the placement of the disc inside and make sure it is back in place *might have to just push upwards on the rim at the front is all, east enough and then it's back in place*.While testing this out I've worm pads at night and a panty liner during the day. Only during my figuring out the placement on day 2 was there some blood that leaked onto the liner after I've went pee and didn't ensure the discs replacement. Also during day 2 when I didn't have the placement correct. I'm still wearing a liner today on day 3 just to ensure I really do have the placement correct.I think the issue is exactly that, if the placement is off even a bit, from moving your pelvic muscles and it displaces, peeing, number 2, moving around/exercising, sitting in a certain position.... then you will probably leak. So it does seem like it works amazingly. I haven't leaked one bit since getting the placement right. But I check the placement every time I go to the bathroom now. However I'm still going to wear a panty liner just in case so that seems like the only issue to me and a downside.Otherwise, I hope this review can help someone get the placement right ! Don't give up ! Just keep trying and you'll get it !
