Oh my days just don't know where to begin, phew what a read. I was a bit late coming to the party with this book as I had bought so many new books and I working my way through them one by one in no particular order. I cannot quite decide if I am disappointed it was further down my bought section than it was and I had left it a few months or I am now disappointed i've read it.I literally could not put this book down and it had me gripped right til the end, lots of twists and turns, you seriously cannot stop reading it! From start to finish you are gripped and the characters all have their own story to tell. I actually couldn't read another book for a week or so as I was still so absorbed in the story line and was so blown away.One of the best crime thrillers I have read (and believe me I have read a lot haha) cannot wait to reach the next installment in the series. Kerry Barnes could not of picked a better book for a follow up. She has outdone herself with this book.I cannot recommend highly enough, it was truly outstanding. You will love it!

Well this book was all I knew it would be, gripping edge of seat reading, as a massive fan of this author this book had me gripped from the first page, characters to love and some to hate, Harper served time in prison for protecting her family and on release is doing the same as only she knows how and sees fit...I wont give anything away but you need to get stuck into this book and savour the unique writing that this author conjures up, full of twists that you think you know the outcome but then something or someone gets thrown into the mix and your theory is wrong! My heart was racing reading it, its gruesome in parts but that all adds to this authors unique and frankly brilliant style of writing. Compelling, gripping, and she just gets better with each book if that's possible. I know Kerry has an army of fans but if you have never read any of her books then you seriously need too.No one or any book she writes intrigues me more. Fantastic read and worthy of such much more then 5 stars

I really enjoyed this bookThe Story line was interesting and the characters were all the typical characters you have in gangster books

What a read, it was emotionally moving and a gripping storyline. Kerry Barnes knows how to grab you into a story and keep you wanting more. I am so looking forward to reading book two in 2022. I loved the characters and what a roller coaster of a ride for Harper the main character. I cried at the end, it was so good! Congratulations Kerry on yet another thrilling book.

Kerry Barnes love love love this read.... you've pulled it out of the bag yet again ! I so enjoyed this one like all your books very nail biting and unpredictable. This is my favourite one to date but then I say that with all your books !! I don't like to spoil the story for readers but you are in for a real treat with this one ! Well done Kerry what a corker !

Couldn't put this book down. Kept me on the edge all the way through. Kerry, where do you get your ideas from? Does stuff like this really happen? Your books take me to another world, you and Kimberly are the best authors in this genre I have ever read and I have read all the books by you both. I now wish I hadn't read it so quickly as I want book 2 . Absolutely brilliant.

Kerry Barnes has done it again, another exciting read that you can't put down and are gutted to finish! The main character Harper is a strong, gutsy and intelligent woman and I can't wait to follow more of her adventures in the next book in 2022. Highly recommend this author and book to you all 👍👏👏

Oh my goodness this lady certainly knows how to write a crime novel.It covers a Russian child sex ring among many others. It is packed with thrills and danger. Kidnap and violence.I loved every page and didn't want it to end. Each character had their own story. The book takes you up and down with emotions.Luckily this very talented lady is writing a follow-up.I have read every one of her books and she gets better and better with each book, she is a contender for the queen of crime.Very well done Kerry. If I could I'd hug you for keeping my mind occupied for nearly two days. xxx

This book was totally unexpected and such a good read. I can't wait to see what this author had install for Harper.
