It's actually a hard stone
Usually these sub $20 2inch stones all over Amazon are soft and dish very fast. This isn't, It's quite hard, feel is closer to a Shapton glass rather than say, a King 1k. Doesn't raise much slurry at all. Is it truly 3k/8k? Maybe, but it's definitely not a 600 feel or cut like others mentioned.

Not as expected
Bought this thinking it would be better than my previous one with a lower grit to sharpen my knives but it was actually worse. I’ll stick to my previous stone instead.
