This is my second jacket for dog walking. I use every day - useful inside pocket for phone! Keeps me bone dry - old jacket started leaking after years of hard wear 3 times a day dog walking. New one perfect. Zips are a bit fiddly - make sure you locate the stops exactly together. A more sturdy zip would be a great addition to an excellent jacket.

Great as liner for rain coat in winter

I have mixed feelings about this jacket. I was expecting something heavier with a looser fit more along the lines of the Columbia Benton Springs fleece. This jacket is cut closer to the body, especially in the arms, and the fleece is fairly thin and somewhat stretchy. Not necessarily a bad thing, but unexpected. I ordered my regular size and it does fit comfortably if I'm wearing something thin underneath.A benefit to the tighter sleeves is that it feels a little warmer over a tee shirt than a Benton Springs fleece jacket with the looser sleeves. My issue is that I bought this fleece to zip into a matching Esmeraldas waterproof jacket (same size, same color) to make a warm rain jacket. The system zip works just fine, but the outer jacket has a much looser fit, which makes the arms feel weird, and it won't fit over a heavy shirt. I can always layer the rain jacket with a heavy shirt and a different fleece or sweater, but that defeats the purpose of the zip-in functionality.
