I do medieval combat and took an unsharpened axe to the groin hard enough it felt like i was picked up off the ground, no damage to me or the cup. a plastic cup wouldn't have survived that hit and i would have had real injuries. if you are doing combat sports you need a metal cup!

Awesome quality, however be weary on size. I got XL as I'm over 6'5" and 110kg with a 34 waist. But damn this cup is huge lol. When wearing in I'm compression shorts it will make you like like you have a full sized baseball in your pants. Pretty happy with the protection but I think a large might've been better.
