I had been using wrist weights to build arm, shoulder and chest muscle but they slipped as I walked around the block. These weighted gloves fit firmly and comfortably without slipping. I use them to make sparring punching motions as a walk around the block listening to dance music. I am not a boxer or even an athlete. I am just a 6' 4" 60+ year old male trying to lose weight and get into shape. 2.5 lbs isn't that much weight, but after a 20 minute walk punching the air, muscles are feeling it. I have found I like repetitive motion with a lighter weight much more than a few sets of 10-12 reps of 25 lbs. I am much more likely to be consistent with my exercise if I do less weight for a longer duration.

The comfort level is astonishing. It seems to be waited with a gel rather then sand or iron sand. (Please note that I never give out five star reviews unless the product goes above and beyond my expectations) However there are some complaints due to my unique hand size. After wearing the gloves for a while, the bottom palm strap begins to make my hand feel asleep. Also the thumb hole begins to get a little sore and leaves a red mark on my skin. However this is after prolonged exposure and probably unique for my hand size. What I do is slip my thumb out of the thumb hole and just form a normal fist. I mostly use it for boxing. I'm at an advanced level in Fitness Boxing (or shadow boxing) playing on No Mercy Difficulty AND highest tempo. I'm not exactly sure about the durability in the long run, but so far I have been breaking it in by wearing it as much as I can. Nothing has frayed or broken yet. I've had it in my possession for about a week. It is very easy to remove. You just remove the palm strap, the wrist strap, And pull your fingers out of the holes. You could also have the palm strap still attached and just slide it off like a regular glove by removing the wrist strap.

I use them for shadow boxing. They are very comfortable, and secure nicely (so the don't shift, or loosen while working). Build well, and the design won't allow the filling to loosen threading and spill out over time.
