very easy to use
I have several vehicles and a boat and it's always a good idea to know the condition of the batteries in them especially the boat it's one thing to be stranded on the side of the road but out in the middle of some lake is a lot more scary. this tool is a great value and very useful.

Easy to use, seems fairly accurate, Battery and Charging System tester
This Mr CARTOOL B200 Automotive Battery and Charging System Tester from very easy to use and was about as I expected based on the listing here. This tester has a bit more features than a very basic battery tester, however after using it for a little while, comparing it to other similarly featured battery testers, this B200 tester at it’s current price, there are some other battery testers out there that offer a bit more for nearly the same price. Still, it’s an OK tester. The packaging is simple, the box has all sorts of information on it, and within that box is just the Tester and an instruction manual. The instruction manual explains all of the features, it’s specs, etc. The manual is just 5 pages with is pretty much just 2 pages, and I included photos with my review. This tester has 4 basic tests, “Battery”, “Charging”, “Cranking”, “Load”. Battery will give you some basic information about the state of the battery as-is, whereas the other tests will give you more information about cranking time, how the charging system is operating, etc. This Battery and Charging System tester is pretty accurate, but seems to rate things a bit lower than 2 other testers I compared it with. There is a 550CCA battery that has some time on it. One tester rated it at 530CCZ, another tester rated it at 525CCA, this Mr. CARTOOL tester rated it at 510CCA. At first I thought it must be some fluke, but repeated the test a number of times, with all 3 testers and it was consistent with the readings. Take from that what you will, but, I have a feeling this tester from Mr. Cartool rates batteries a bit lower in health than others. So, this Battery tester is fairly accurate. Feed it the information it wants about the battery in question, in my case I was feeding the Tester the CCA information. The display will also give you an average health for that batteryIf you run the other tests, this tester will also give you some information on how the charging system is behaving. Each test doesn’t take very long, and they do require starting the vehicle. For quickly checking the state of a battery, the, “Battery” test is enough. From the few weeks I’ve used this tester, off and on, it does give a somewhat accurate reading, but it is definitely a bit different than what 2 other testers read. The manual is brief, but, this tester is easy to navigate and operate. This tester could have included a storage case or pouch since the box is the box is quite a bit larger than the tester so I have relocated it to a resealable plastic bag for storage to save on space. Overall, this tester appears to be fairly accurate, though for about the same price there are some other testers out there that I prefer that give me a bit more data and features. One feature I am surprised this battery reader from Mr. Cartool lacks, is a way to adjust the backlight…

Lives up to nearly all of its claims.
This battery load tester is easy to use and works fine, with only small exceptions. The manual says this unit will operate on batteries at or over 6 volts, but when I tested it on a 12 volt lead acid battery reading above that at 10 volts, it still did not want to power up.However, it did work on every other battery I tested that had more voltage, so I will just have to avoid using this on batteries that are likely too old to be saved anyways, or at least until an attempt has been made to recharge or de-sulfate them first. The manual is fairly understandable, but unfortunately it does not define the main acronyms used on the device's display, so that could reduce the user friendliness for anyone not familiar with these contractions.Despite the minor issues, this battery load tester still has been serving all my needs well enough so far, and if it happens to prematurely fail or give me any other significant issues in the future then I will update this review about them.MR CARTOOL B200 Automotive Battery Load Tester 12V/24V 30-1700 CCA Auto Cranking Charging Analyzer for Truck Motorcycle Boat
