I’m a miniaturist and while I have good eyes and lots of magnifiers, I want to try 1:12 scale needlepoint on 40 stitches to the inch silk gauze. Needless to say, that calls for major enlargement. I was so surprised when this set arrived. It is totally awesome. The quality is outstanding and while I can’t imagine anyone would ever use the highest power insert, the others will be vital to my projects. I noticed no distortion and they fit right over my glasses which is important since I have monovision and need my glasses before magnification. Add to this an amazingly low price and you can’t go wrong. My only worry is that they might prove heavy if I wear them for long periods of time. Hopefully that won’t be a problem.

I ordered these magnifying glasses to help me see small stitches in my knitting and cross-point projects. Usually, I do that while watching TV. I rated them 4 stars because they are of good quality, and sturdy, they come with 5 levels of augmenting attachments, a rubber headband, and a USB charging cord. The light feature works well although you need to charge them before the first use, you will need a USB cube plug charger (not provided). The only problem I found is that they are heavy, they run down your nose bridge so you need to use the rubber headband provided. Also, in my particular case, I can't use the glasses while crafting and watching TV, when raising my sight I need to move them up to my forehead or take them off. I think they will be great for crafters who need to stay focused on what they are doing (watch or jewelry repair) Of course, in this case, I order something without thinking first. In short, this is a good product but not suitable for my crafting needs.
