This is an excellent book. I am a musician and I sometimes have trouble letting go of the expectations I have of myself. Self-criticism can be incredibly debilitating. When you approach anything with a fear of failure, you give up on yourself before you have even started. If you are a little OCD or a perfectionist this book might be of help. Smith encourages her readers to let go and make a mess. This is also a great book for anyone who needs to get their mind off of something upsetting. With Mess, you will want to get out, live, spend time with your friends, experience and explore your own creative self and the world around you. And you can do so indefinitely because Mess is incredibly long lasting. There are several exercises in this book which I find myself returning to frequently to make additions to. So, you should buy one for yourself or for the person you know who has been told so often to color in the lines that he has lost all interest in coloring. Enjoy.

Purchased this for myself late 20s! I had a great time filling the pages!!

I paid over $32 US dollars for this spiral book. It arrived in a square box the size of a small table. I really think the seller isn't doing themselves any favors by not packing it simply, in an envelope, and using Media Mail. And I'm not happy that I had to pay so much for something that really shouldn't be more than $20. That said, it looks like an exciting book with creative prompts that will be easy to manage. I think it will be perfect for anyone with markers and paints who maybe is stuck in bed for a while (like after a surgery or while recovering from some kind of medical situation). If these were more affordable I'd definitely be ordering them by the gross to send to my friends with cancer. The paperback is definitely affordable (except it's NOT on Prime and shipping is another almost $4), but for the people who I would want to gift them to, the spiral bound would be more manageable. So overall I'm happy with the book, but I wish seller would REALLY work on that shipping sitch because yowza.

I purchased this for my sister as a birthday gift. I love the fact that each page explores your creative juices differently. Each "activity" can build so much content that you probably would have never thought of. I purchased the "Mess" book because she is a flight attendant and travels a lot. Majority of the page prompts have you put something on the page, for example, if she were at the beach one of the pages would tell you to put water droppings on it, or smear something. Another fun way to remember your memories. I want one of these books for myself now.

I've only just started this book/journal but so far its great! It seems A LOT like Wreck This Journal. If you loved Wreck This Journal, then you'll definitely enjoy this book. If your looking for something different from Wreck, then this isn't it. This journal is a lot of fun and has some differences from Wreck. In Wreck you can work on whichever page you want to, but in Mess you have to work in order. This can make he process of Mess take a lot longer but it's more challenging. If you want something different than Wreck, this isn't the book for you. But if your looking for more Keri Smith fun, this is the best choice. Great book, I love it!!

I really loved the wreck this journal book so I thought this would be just as great. I was a bit disappointed to find many of the same tasks or very similar tasks in this book. I haven't really messed with it much after I got a good look through it and realized it was almost the exactly the same book.

Man my niece absolutely loves this book. She had it just over a month and tells me she uses and goes through it almost every day. Highly recommend all the "wreck this" journals and spinoff by the author. Have given the pocket scavenger and wreck this anywhere to my nephews, and they really try to take em everywhere. The fact that the novelty of this activity book hasn't worn off yet is what I'm most impressed with.

Drôle, amusant, génial, topissime il n'y a pas assez d'adjectif pour qualifier ce livre / manuel de créativité. Apprenez à vous amuser et vous détendre ! Un niveau d'anglais assez élevé mais avec un dictionnaire franco anglais et même google trad c'est très bien

I received my journal today (exceeding delivery date expectations by almost a month from paperbackshop.co.uk) and I've only skimmed through the first 20 pages or so and I can't wait to get started. The idea of wreck this journal has caught my eye since the moment I found out about it. I'm far from crafty, this will let me have some fun in my spare time and at work on slow days without having to worry about making the project prefect.
