Finally!! No more pigeons and ravens/crows. My roof looked like something out of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds! The pigeons had turned our solar panels into their own private townhome community which was bad enough, but then the ravens showed up waiting to get the babies if they came to close to the edge. It really was awful. Thankfully I saw this on Amazon and decided to give it a try.The quality of this product is top-notch and it is sooo easy to install! The pitch of our roof is average, I'd say, so someone with good balance and dexterity should have no trouble installing it. That said, it's ALWAYS a good idea to have help when you're working on a roof. My grandson came and helped my husband and I think it took them about 3 hours to install. We have 18 panels and there were a lot of corners due to placement of the panels.Before beginning, my hubs had watched a video that suggested cutting the mesh into 5' sections for easier handling and installation and that was key to a quick, easy install!!

Totally worth it. Saved mad money doing this myself. Easy to install. No issues with the clips, quality product. Wire cutters worked pretty good. The gloves are kind of small but honestly i use my own gloves so not a big issue. Pigeons are now gone. Product arrived on time.

I ran with this VS the Rotek which I got for roughly $79for 120’. The Rotek only gave you 100’ and priced around $109. Can’t comment on the quality between the two but it is plastic covered steel. Only diff is the clips where the Rotek gives you an oval shape vs these (round) but I had no issues. Other than that No problems installing but don’t be wowed by the extras like gloves and the tin snips, once you open the box toss ‘em in trash. If you’re installing yourself you should have some, if not now is the time to invest in a good set of gloves and snips. Last, order another set of clips, the 60 included isn’t enough. With two rolls of 120’ i probably used 200’ total and all the included clips plus a hand full of the extras. I ordered the Rotek because of the oval shape but be generous on clipping the mesh. Guesstimating, I went every foot or less, I have a two story so my plan isnt to go back up. Over secure and forget. Good luck.

When our solar panels were installed a couple of months ago, they told me: be prepared to protect against birds — they love the warmth under the panels. They were right! Almost immediately the pigeons started showing up. I investigated a number of options, and I'm thankful I chose this Maporch mesh screen. First, the mesh seems to be the perfect balance of rigidity (which you need to keep things out!) and flexibility (which you need to bend around corners, etc.). Second, I loved that they included gloves and cutting shears — I used them both and they were sufficient for the project. Third, they'd included (at no additional cost) 20 extra clips. Not sure this will be true in the future, but it appears they were responsive to reviews that suggested 60 clips were not enough. I ended up using around 60, but having those extra ones gave me the confidence to not use them sparingly.Also, I have a cement tile roof, so I had to figure out how to work with the mesh to ensure I didn't have big gaps where the tiles "step down" (they're around 3/4" thick). Slicing two of the small mesh squares gave the perfect amount of "give" in order to accomplish this. Then when bending the mesh around corners, slicing four of the squares gave enough freedom of movement in order to keep a tight fit to the tiles without bunching or creating gaps in the mesh. Cutting worked around electrical piping as well.Finally, I'd say that the clips seem to be really sufficient to keep the mesh secured to the panels. However: they are not "easy" to slide into place. They lock due to friction, and it takes some muscles to actually get them tight and secure. If you have arthritis or lack strength in your arms, hands, or fingers, you WILL need help getting the clips locked in place.Pro tip: you can put the clips together (part way) before getting up on your roof! That will save you lots of time and energy by trying to do this one at a time on a pitched surface! When they are part way connected, the hooked end will still slip easily through the mesh so you can connect it under the panel.

Wire mesh is easy to bend and durable. The scissors that come with the box works great. I wish it has a longer option, but I will buy another box to finish my setup.

This was so easy to install. Took me about 30 mins to install. We’ll see how long it last for but when cutting it, I can tell it’s pretty strong but very easy to bend and work with it.

This product did met my expectations and once installed is keeping the pigeons from returning to under my solar panels. I was concerned because my roof has curved tiles rather than flat which did require that I either slant or bend the screen in some places to ensure the gap is covered. If you roof has flat tiles it will be even easier to install. Only recommendation if ordering you may want to also order extra fasteners, otherwise great product. If the need arises, I would purchase again.

roughly 3 seconds after my solar was installed, a pair of pigeons decided it was a perfect place to make a family. I got quotes to install the critter guard and it was easily 1000 dollars more than I paid for this kit.The shears work well, the gloves work well, and once you get the hang of it, it goes quickly.1 gripe: you will need more fasteners. Fasteners are expensive. I have no idea why.
