The headphone jack on my Dell laptop stopped working. No headphone output and no change in speaker volume. I spent three hours replacing drivers, etc., following all of the online tech support articles to no avail. I tried this as a last resort and it works perfectly, though it takes the laptop about a half second to detect the change needed in output so there's a (very) slight lag. Otherwise, it's perfect. The sound quality is excellent and the laptop figures out it needs to kill the audio signal to the built-in speakers. Highly recommended.

Don't waste your time with this. I have a set of high end Klipsche speakers connected to a 6 channel stereo mixer via high end audio cables. as soon as i plugged this thing into the mixer i heard a nasty buzzing / whine. i thought it was my mixer so i changed channels nope same thing then i changed the cable. nope same thing. If you could take a dog mess on the floor and convert it to audio it would sound like that. I mean i don't expect much but at least design some filtering circuitry in the DAC. You do get what you pay for and all but how this thing got out of QA is ridiculously bad.

If you are looking for a USB dongle to plug into a deskphone, this one does include microphone input. It's great if you have a headset with a 3.5mm Jack and would like to use it to talk over the phone if you do any remote work and or want to play games on your PC.

Bought this as the audio driver on my laptop stopped working as a result I could no longer plug my headphones into the audio jack. This product allowed me to plug my soundcore headphones into the USB port. The adapter is worth while, the audio quality is no clean and consistent. No connection issues thus far. Small and convenient to carry around.
