POWER CUSHION SOCK COMPARISON
These socks are identical to the "HEAD POWER CUSHIONED" socks that Costco was selling awhile back. This is what I did to compare both products. I had a unopened six pack of the HEAD socks from Costco that I stock piled. I ordered a six pack of " POWER CUSHIONED " socks from this company in the same size XL as the Costco socks. Both brands are: 71% Cotton, 18% Acrylic , 10% Nylon. & 1% Lycra Spandex.I weighed both brands , one pair each [ 2 socks ]. I used a electronic gram scale, Costco socks [ HEAD ] No longer available 3.61 ounces, this brand 3.65 ounces. So this brand actually weighs a little bit more and feels and looks identical.I see no difference between the two brands. Time will tell if they will wear the same, but I think they will, there identical in composition. It seems the majority of the comparison reviews use the HEAD brand as an anchor to compare padded socks so I did the same.

Will no one ever make a decent athletic sock for full-grown men?
These are very good socks and I have not been able to find better ones, but why is it so impossible for anyone to make proper men's athletic socks? They are always too small. They stretch the fabric first to save 2 cents laughing at us schmucks who can afford new socks and I don't know how they measure feet, they must use underfed shrimps somewhere. I am bigger than average but I am not super large by any means. Jeff Bezos can you please get involved and grab someone by the collar and make them put together a freaking decent men's sock that is nice and comfy on the foot and does not cut off the circulation on my calves? Are these sock manufacturers totally nuts that they think we walk around outside in our socks and the socks are going to fall off if they are not tight enough? Hello, my sneakers will prevent the socks from falling off. Put a wide elastic (good elastic, you nuts) band at the top of the sock to hold the calf comfortably. Cheese and crackers, waiting for the day I can get a decent freaking pair of socks. And then just freaking dye them black so I can use them for work too. For Heaven's sake. Incredible.

Love these Socks!
Seems like these are the exact socks we used to get at Costco®, under the Head® brand. There is no Head branding on this item now; however, the socks are great. Even at Costco, seems like the socks when we started with this item, many years ago, were a bit better. But these seem exactly like the ones we've been buying for years, happily. For me, I ordered XL instead of L, having never seen the XL size at Costco. Turns out, seems like no difference. The socks are still a bit smaller than I'd prefer with size 12W feet, but they still work well, and are comfortable. But I couldn't resist trying the XL instead of the L, both of which are available when ordering at amazon.com. Worth noting that as soon as I received this item, I re-ordered, due to high satisfaction.I looked for these because we no longer find them at Costco, which now seems to favor their own version of these or similar items. So I was very glad to find these, and reasonably priced (if not cheap) on amazon.com. Very good cushion on toe, heel, and -- seems like -- bottom of your foot as well. Very comfortable, mostly cotton, great!

Nice thick socks, but....
These are nice thick socks, but.... we'll get to that in a minute. First I'll say that the older I get, the shorter I get, and the longer my feet are getting. I started out in my 20's a little over 6'2 with size 12 feet. Now 30 years later, I'm a little under 6'1 with size 13.5 feet. If this keeps up, they will have to bury me standing up. I can no longer wear regular length socks, and it is getting harder to find my shoe size in stock. They don't make a lot of shoes in half sizes over 13, so I have to wear 14 a lot. Well, that brings me back to the socks. They are nice, thick, and warm; so they take up some of the extra room in these shoes. As you see in the first picture, they fit perfectly. Actually they are a bit tight at first, and loosen up nicely after wearing them a little while. They don't wind up bunched up in the toe of my work boots like some. I do have to say that they are not the softest socks I've worn, and the fibers are not the most densely woven. (see second pic). For the price, they are very good socks.

Great socks
As many others have said, these are exactly the same as the "HEAD" socks that Costco used to sell. I have big feet (13+) and the XL size fits very well. These are the only types of socks I buy; I wash them and dry them in the dryer. Gradually the elastic in the ankle starts to go or they rip near the heel as I put them on. I toss them out and grab some more brand new ones. Completely interchangeable and so simple. Thanks Crescent Sock Company!

Not the Costco sold HEAD brand, but it's the closest available
After reading other review, I purchased these socks as a replacement for the HEAD brand that Costco used to sell. They are a decent copy of the dock with 2 notable differences; (1) They run smaller. The Costco sold brand were for shoe sizes 9-13, whereas these are up size 12. I use these as socks to wear around the house and bought the XL size for comfort.(2) They certainly are not made of the same material. These socks are a little rough. I was hoping a cycle through the washer/dryer would soften them, but it has not.So not a bad sock and not the Costco sold HEAD brand, but it's the closest available.

Yes - these are the ones
These ARE the socks Costco used to sell. If you wear work boots for a living these are hands down the most comfortable and long lasting socks you can buy. I've been wearing these with 8" work boots for over 10 years. Recently I bought 3 different brands of 'work boot' socks because my old Costco socks were finally getting a bit thin. None of the 3 were up to the job. All three brands immediately showed a severe balling up of the cotton coming out of the dryer. This does not happen with these socks. Get em while you can. ALSO - I wear a size 12 boot and the X-large fit perfect.
