This is an excellent alarm clock that does the basics really well. It’s well designed and user friendly.It doesn’t have any elaborate features (such as automatic time setting, temperature reading, or date display), just the time & the alarm. The buttons and switches are comfortable to use and work extremely well, and the switches have the right degree of stiffness so they can’t be moved accidentally. The snooze/light is a touch-sensitive bar, (rather than being a button that one presses down, that most alarm clocks have), and I find this a nice feature to use. The battery compartment is easy to open and it closes securely - and it’s easy to insert the battery. The alarm sound itself is a “crescendo” style, which is exactly what I was looking for – something that starts very soft and gentle, so that you don’t “jump out of your skin”, or wake up panicked! The alarm then gradually starts to get increasingly loud and intense if you don’t react to the soft tone. One feature that I particularly liked is that the alarm status is very clear (with a good-sized icon of a bell clearly displayed when the alarm is set) so you feel confident that it’s properly set before going to sleep. About the clock display: this is clearly visible in normal daylight, and completely invisible in the dark, until the light/snooze bar is touched - then it gives about 10 seconds of light, and the numerals are clearly visible from many angles of view. If I were to be hypercritical – one negative aspect is that the instructions that come with the alarm clock are a little bit too small (however the Instruction pamphlet is in many languages and I appreciate this leaflet has to be small enough to fit into a little box!). Having said that, the operation is highly intuitive and many people would probably not even need to refer to the instructions. Secondly, one might consider the alarm clock a little overpriced, but I was happy just to get something that worked properly (having experienced many cheaper devices with poor functionality). Overall: this is a very well thought out, good device, That does the basics perfectly. But it might not be suitable for somebody wanting elaborate additional functions.

Pale time display during day and no time display at night until clock top pressed. Just what we wanted.

Does what it says. Nice clear display and very easy to set up and use.

The clock is well made, easy to set up & very easy to read at night. It would have been a bonus to have rubber feet on the bottom of the clock but that is a minor niggle.
