SCARPADrago Rock Climbing Shoes for Sport Climbing and Bouldering - Specialized Performance for Sensitivity

Good shoes for moderate climbing
This was my first pair of the Arpia model shoe, though I have worn and liked other Scarpa shoes in the past. The size of the other shoes matched very well, and the shoes fit as expected. These shoes are not super aggressive, and I can wear them for reasonable to long lengths of time comfortably. The performance is as expected and the shoes are overall a good quality.

After 20+ years, my favorite shoe
I've worn a whole lot of climbing shoes over the past 20 years of climbing and these are my favorite. I'm on my 6th or 7th pair now. But, know that this is a very soft, sensitive shoe. If you are a brand-new beginner, have less-strong toes, or like to stand on tiny edges with no effort, look somewhere else. I also find that while this shoe can be downsized aggressively because it's pretty soft, that you don't really need to do that to get great performance.

Definitely an upgrade from a $100 shoe
Ordered mine true to regular shoe size. A tad snug the way a climbing shoes should be.Quality is great and they tighten up adequately. An issue I have is the tightening strap runs out of area to Velcro quickly. But even with that, the suction on your heel is very tight.I do find I can only keep them on for1 or 2 climbs before needing to take them off.The lining is very soft. Taking on and off repeatedly can have the Velcro scratch up your foot.Would buy again

Comfy aggressive sticky shoe....finally!
Holy mackerel these are awesome! These climbing shoes are very comfortable, yet are still aggressive and sticky. I have pretty skinny feet and finding a show that fits correctly has been difficult. My boy friend has a pair of genius's and a pair of boostic's that I ended up not being able to wear because they were too uncomfortable. I have a pair of red chilis that fit like a dream but they are not sticky or aggressive. Climbing 5.10's and 11's I needed something that would stay on the tiny chips. I wear a women's 9, and I bought a 42. My toes are only slightly curved and most would wear them smaller, but I can leave these on the whole time I climb and I like them this way. My boy friend wears a size 10 and he says they are his size also, but he wears his shoes tight. Upper has a lot of rubber but it is very flexible and soft. Sole is not hard, but not as soft as the lasportiva genius's, I would say a medium hardness. My genius's had a lot of extra space/volume in the top, and these only have a little.

Size 14 Advice
These appear to be well made shoes, I’m sure they would do great for someone but they were far to wide / high volume for me. Even wider / higher volume than the vapor v. If you need wider than Vapor V, then give these a try. If you need narrower / lower volume / regular size 14, then try Tenaya Iati

Size fits perfect
Always get nervous on ordering shoes via online. These fit perfect. I ordered a 9.5 and they were tight at first (a hair tighter than I would have liked even for Rock Climbing shoes).. but I wore them rock climbing and within two hours they stretched out perfect and now fit really nice.

Love Scarpa!
Scarpa makes an excellent durable aggressive shoe, good quality rubber; sizes typically run slightly small -at least on the Drago- which makes for a very snug fit. This is my competition climber son's 4th pair, a record as he usually gets dissatisfied and changes brands. 3rd pair is at the resolers!

Great high end shoe... for a month.
This shoe has great sensitivity, is easy to break in and high quality rubber. My only downfall is that after a month or so of climbing, they bust a hole ! Better to buy from MEC where you can return free. If you are looking for a great all round shoe, this is it, if you are looking for a durable climbing shoe, don't spend the money.

Great first upgrade shoe!
Spent a good few weeks researching shoes to buy as my first upgrade from my budget Simon shoes. After looking around I made up my mind that I wanted Vibram Grip 2 rubber, however a lot of shoes with this rubber are pretty downturned. These however are a good medium, not straight/solid & with a two thirds midsole... gives flexibility and the foot placement still feels firm.I’m a relatively new to climbing/Bouldering (2.5 months), my best was a V3 on slab. With my first outing in these shoes I was able to get my first V4 slab, that my old shoes just kept on slipping off.Very happy with the fit, looking forward to using the heel at a later date!
