Best Superautomatic for the price range available as of 2022 if you prefer coffee drinks
I prefer stronger Milk and Americano drinks and my wife prefers weaker Americano drinks. I say this because this context matters to my following review. I have spent hours researching and testing various machines and I will say there is no "perfect" one that I have found. I tried many of the superautomattics with the milk drink capability such as the SMEG, Jura, D6 & E6, the Phillips 3200, Seaco Xelsis , and the Miele CM6350 (refurb that dies a week later) and this Miele CM5510 Quiet.First, both my wife and I both prefer the flavor of the Miele's. The same beans (same bag) simply taste better. Yes this is subjective but the note vs Jura E6 is significantly different in that the Jura (including some of the office models I have tried) is much more acidic. Both the Jura and Miele's output very hot coffees and fairly hot milk. The milk froth and micro-bubbles are hot and essentially the same.Second, the Miele's are truly "super automatics" where you press one button and you get a complete milk drink (e.g. Macchiato) . Mid-line Jura's require you to manually flip a switch to start and stop the milk. Additionally you must then manually clean the milk pipes. Therefore are they truly super automatics? No. If you want a true automatic then you need to spend $1000 more.Third, these 2 Miele's largely self-clean themselves (both coffee spigots, milk spigots and milk tubing) each day when they auto-shut down. You need only dump the waste water and coffee puck trays every few days (depending on volume of drinks) and then rinse the brew unit every week which takes seconds. The Jura and others require more manual intervention.Lastly, the ability to set "profiles" is much more fine-grained on the Miele's. On the Jura's it is not even a feature. Instead you must chose your coffee choice and then manually change the bean and water quantities on the fly and the settings for every cup. The only work around is to pay another $65 for the bluetooth dongle and app and then select the custom drink config from your phone. On these Miele's you can create profiles (e.g. a strong one for me and a weak one for my wife) the adjusts temperature, bean QTY, amount of water, and other advanced variables such as pre-brewing) . Again, all of this amounts to a single button to get exactly what you want in your drink and then later the machine will clean itself.Net = the machines are not cheap and suffer from a few other issues such as small bean hoppers and water containers but overall, I believe the new CM 5510 Silence is the best that I have found for under $2,000

Amateur machine at professional price
We had the Miele CM 5200 and had to replace it after some 8 years and 20,000 cups. This is supposed to be the updated model. The coffee flavor is still great. Yet, everything Miele changed is for the worse. The entire construction is made of more flimsy plastic. The grinder sounds shrill, although the machine calls itself “Silence”. Worst of all, the water tank and the drip tray are smaller, while the machine uses even more water to clean itself. As a result, instead of filling the tank and emptying the tray once a day, I now have to do that 2-3 times a day, basically after every 5 cups. We really liked the predecessor model but this thing is a toy and not for serious coffee drinkers. It is an amateur device at the price of a professional machine. Don’t waste your money!Update: The designer cannot be a coffee drinker. The machine is supposed to be “super automatic”, meaning that it makes espresso, lungo, cappuccino, or latte with the touch of a single button. What is the point of that, if I always have to service the machine as if I was it’s assistant and had nothing else to do? I could buy a barista machine for 1/3 of the price if I wanted to work all the time! Very annoying!!!!!!

Glad I made the switch from Jura
Replaced my Jura. This is the best machine I have ever used. Cleaning is a breeze, you can actually clean the brew unit weekly by rinsing it under the tap. No mold. The milk system has one of the best auto cleaning mechanisms on the market. With the Jura it was a long and ardous process. Customization is basically infinite compared to the Jura, and the coffee is hot hot hot. I can make hot chocolate directly from the machine as the milk is hot. The Jura was not hot enough. I cannot say enough good things about this machine. Love it. As close to barista quality one can come. So happy I made the switch.

Nice Coffee & Expresso Machine
We have had our Miele CM 5300 for 2 months and like it very much. There are some things that make it a project to work the machine, like the water reservoir is small. It would be nice if it had a larger reservoir. It take a bit of time to get all the settings to exactly where you want, but stay with it and you will be happy. The cleaning (descale and other) cycles take some time, but the machine walks you through the processes. We love an afternoon expresso and most days make it a double. We believe that if you like coffee and want the capability to have it different ways, this is good machine. A bit pricy, but still we really like it.

Just not that impressive, especially for the price.
It makes OK coffee -- not as good as I can do manually with a lot less fuss. And although it's "automatic," you have to stick around to add more water or empty the catch tray. Might as well be making the coffee, too, while I'm standing by the machine.
