RevellSnapTite Build & Play Rebel U-wing Fighter Building Kit

This is a pre-colored model that doesn't require paint or glue and there are no decals. You don't even have to cut any parts from sprues. So for younger folks who just want to quickly push the pieces together and have a toy, it's good. But it will look more or less like a toy.Of course you can go as crazy as you want with painting and weathering. I used this kit as a way to try airbrushing for the first time, as well as first time masking, weathering, etc. For that purpose it's pretty great and affordable.Since I painted over the whole thing, it was difficult to recreate the series of small stripes on the wings. I didn't get them quite right. Not the fault of the model of course.I glued the pieces together, and that wasn't ideal. It was hard to check how pieces fit before gluing, since I had to pry them apart and do it again with glue. The wings are designed to move to the two different positions as seen in the movie, but that means they're a bit "floppy" in the forward position and don't rest completely flush against the body. So I glued my wings to the forward position.I'd have preferred to have normal model pieces instead of the button and electronics module. It doesn't do much anyway. Two sound effects and a green light. It means there's a loose piece on the top that's the activation button, as well as a grill for the speaker and a battery cover on the bottom, which hurts the look. Though in fairness two of those things are on the bottom where they won't be seen, but it does reinforce the "toy" look and feel of the thing.It is pretty detailed, though it is missing some details you can see in the movie.Overall, I had a lot of fun with it.

I have bought two of these models. The first one was great! ..but it ended up getting broken by a friends child .. booOh well, i got a new kit and the new one was missing a single piece. One of the important pieces..

We have a couple of the "build and play" sets and my main complaint is the scale is "Whatever will fit in the box." They are well made models with decent quality parts, very little hangover on edges, and they look nice, but they are wildly different in scale so if you care about that, you'll be sad.This model went together well. These kits are great if you have a younger child who would like to help out as they can do all or most of the work themselves. The built model looks good although there are a couple small alignment issues with the wings (port wing won't fold in 100%, it's like... 99.5%).Some of the build and play have retractable landing gear. This one has removable fixed gear.

This is a great kit. Easy to build. Fairly durable. Cute overall. Glad I got it as like the Y-Wing I love this in any scale.However, why the heck is it so impossible to add SCALE to a model kits packaging?!?!?!?!?This is not 1/144 or 6mm like the X-Wing prepainted miniatures game or the old HOTH model kit. Fantas Flight makes one in this size, as I believe does MatchboxThis is not 1/72 or 20mm like the old YT-1300 model and the old starfighter models. This would have been an acceptable size kit.This is not 1/50 or 30mm like the current Fantasy Flight games Legion minatures. This is really what I needed this for!Basically this does not fit with anything Star Wars presently has out.

Las instrucciones son muy pobres y hay que tener mucha visión, paciencia y sentido común para armarlo.Dificultad para armar algunas piezas por falta de las instrucciones.Al ver terminado , la nave espacial luce espectacular mas el sonido que lleva incluido y me parece fenomenal. Una pieza vital para los que coleccionamos parte de la historia de Star Wars..

Like most Star Wars toys, this one looks too clean and plastic straight out of the box, but it is easy to assemble and the model is faithful to the ship we see on screen. Because of this, I think this type of model is great for an afternoon with a little paint and patience to make even better! This makes it perfect for teaching kids how to build and paint models.The toy itself is pretty resilient and doesn't come apart if dropped from eight-year-old height. The s-foils might be a little vulnerable but so far they haven't snapped or bent.Attached picture is the one I purchased, mostly done with the painting before a last clean-up step.

Typical for a a Revell sound and play kit.More toy than model, between the pre-paint, sounds, and simplified detail in areasHowever, it can be built into nice model with some additional detailing and painting As with most other Revell stuff, it is "box scale" so it is not in scale with the other Rogue One kits like the AT-ACT . I think if scaled out from a "real world" size, it comes out around 1/100 to 1/110 scalePilot figures are generic rebel pilots, Cassian Andor and K-2SO, Although they are quite detailed for their size

I never built a Revell kit, or even Star Wars model before. And though this is meant for a younger set, This is a very fun and quick build even for older modelers.Also, don't let the fact that it is pre-painted keep you from customizing this to your tastes. I simply did a heavy weathering job and added some gray panels on mine. But it just shows that these can be thoroughly enjoyed by any skill level of builder.My only gripe though, is that the landing gear will easily fall off! But glue or plastic cement will fix that.All in all. a good, cheaper alternative to the awesome Bandai kits.
