It did not trick my wife at all. I think she knew something was up with how the kids were behaving. My kids were really excited to scare mommy with them.I was later able to scare my son with one by putting it on a door handle.The key seems to be do not use too many at a time. Actually, just one is good enough. Next, you need to make sure they don't see it until they are right close to it. Like out of the corner of their eye when they are so close already their brain doesn't have time to think and they will just react. So that's why the door handle was good, because not many people pay attention to the door handle until they are about the grab it.A second thing I noticed is that these are more creepy when upside down. So positioning them on their back might make for an easier scare.I would take a picture of one but I don't know where they are now. Maybe I should be concerned? Ha!

Bought these to prank the folks at work! I’ve never heard so many screams from one office!! We live in Florida so seeing huge palmettos is normal but we are all afraid of them!!

Love these cockroaches! They were a blast at Halloween to prank with and the kids have kept some to continue scaring their friends. Great item and look realistic!

These look good, but have an overpowering chemical plastic smell.
