Happy Employees for Busy Managers
I've followed previous work of Kevin's, and this little book doesn't disappoint. Many managers will say that they're too busy to worry about how their employees "feel." Kevin points out exactly why managers should care - both from a cost of doing business and from the health of a team. He goes even further than most theory-based books and provides a step-by-step guide to help managers see how easy it is to start engaging employees. Short and to-the-point, even the busiest of managers have the time (and should take the time) to read this.

A Great Read
Employee engagement is very important to our company. A year ago we were going through some tough times and our employee engagement score was low. I went looking for ideas on how to improve our employee engagement and a few good books to read.Came across Kevin Kruse's Book "Employee Engagement 2.0, though only 59 pages it is packed with real life information and straight forward advise. I got the book read it , had each of my 4 managers read it. We worked at applying the ideas in his book and over the past year have seen a great increase in our teams employee engagement score. and overal better communications within our team. Got to keep working at it though and keep working it every day. Definitely a worth while read

It's about time
What a great quick read. As a busy "front line" manager the quick read was the bait. The fact that I gained some very awesome insight on how I can achieve more from my team in such a short time made it all worthwhile. If you care as a leader then you will probably read about some of the things you already do on a daily basis but you will still have some OSM!s. If you don't care as a leader then you should definitely read employee engagement 2.0 but only if you want to be challenged!

A "must read" for leaders/managers
Employee engagement is directly related to profitability and productivity and maintaining a high level of employee engagement is key for all leaders/managers. This is a "must read" for any leader with direct reports. The book is short (about 50 pages) yet every page is rich with ideas and tips.It is a bit pricey for a short publication but the good news is that Kindle version is a nice price.Ed Nottingham, PhD, PCCConsulting & Clinical PsychologistAuthor, It's Not As Bad As It Seems

Good basic practical ideas
It's a good basic reading on the subject.I also think Kruse offers some good practical ideas that any manager with a sincere intention of taking charge could apply with a little discipline to get used to the new behaviors required (habits). My favorite expression: “if you care, you can drive engagement. But you do have to care” (pg 13).The weakest part: the 7 items survey. In my opinion, the first three of them doesn't measure engagement at all, but rather some general attitude towards the company. So if you want to get some idea about your team's engagement, a little more precise than mere intuition or vague perception, focus on the answers to the items 4 to 7, which are directly connected to the engagement drivers specified by Kruse.

Good Stuff Without All the Fluff
A book you can read in an hour might seem like a toothless tiger. Nothing could be further from the truth. Kevin doesn't waste time with theory or research he simply shares what has worked for him over the years and offers six simple steps any manager can implement to increase employee engagement at work. As a business trainer and coach I can attest to the value of culture over strategy. You won't regret your sixty minute investment...in fact you will want to share this book with others.

Engaging employees - Mr. Kruse knows his stuff.
I am halfway through the book and already employing a couple of the techniques Mr. Kruse advocates. It's a quick read and could be digested in two hours; however, the book was chosen for a Book Club at work and we are maximizing the content through discussion. Transparent communication. Simple strategies. Excellent for driving conversation and team unity. An assortment of websites is referenced throughout the book to augment learning. I will definitely sift through some of the author's other books for similar studies.
