Great first pick
I'm 74 yrs old & 340lbs, I bought a scooter to get out & around on and needless to say, at my age & weight, I must avoid fall injury at all cost. I was concerned about fit as I'm much larger than the size chart so I bought a roll of double sided velcro to extend the fasteners. NOT NEEDED!! I do extend the wrist guards an extra 2 inches because the straps were barely long enough. But the knee & elbow pads have stretch straps & fit without any extension. I can even fit into the sleeve for the elbow guards, though I didn't try with the knee guards. Anyway, while there's NOTHING that fits me according to the size charts, these work fine in reality. I just got them today and they seem fine. If you're having a hard time finding a size you think will fit you, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ITEM!!

Safety
Unfortunately for me I got the chance to test how well these protect you in case of a bicycle accident. Had I not been wearing them I am sure I would have broken both wrists and injured my knees. I am 61 years old so my bones are a little more brittle than most other riders I meet. Got myself a new electrc bicycle and was going 22 mph when I flipped it forward from a larger than expected pothole. Was also wearing a helmet. Layed on the ground for a minute waiting for something to start hurting and I then stood up and realized I had no injuries due to the protective pads. I tore some clothing, but had zero injuries due to wearing these pads and a helmet. Always take the extra 2 minutes time to put on protective pads before riding. They definitely made the difference for me on being able to get back on my bike instead of having to go to the hospital. They are fantastic and quite comfortable. 5 star rating was a no brainer for me as I know quite well they do exactly what they claim they will do; protect you at the vulnerable points. Sincerely, Kim Wilson

Ice skating
I like that I can just wrap those and don’t have to use the sleeve. I Stripped them on top of my ski pants when I go ice-skating.

Decent inexpensive pads
I'm 5'3" and 150 pounds wearing the large size. The pads seem to be the right size for me but the straps on the knees and elbows need to be fully tightened so if you're thinner then me but have a similar frame you might need to do some adjustments on the straps or size down. I'm not sure how the next size down compares in pad size though. They seem to be decent quality, I haven't taken a tumble yet and am just doing some parking lot practice as I'm just getting back into roller blading. Safety is still important though so I was glad to find these for a decent price! If I continue to challenge myself and get to a point where I'm going more than a few feet at a few mph I will upgrade to some better pads but for light skating these seem good. They have a webbing and straps, you can use just straps or straps and webbing. I used straps and webbing since the webbing wasn't super tight and seemed to help keep it secure. As the description points out - they are a little mismatched in shape but I do think they'll mold a little bit with some use. There's a small amount of size difference but not near as extreme as that one unfortunate reviewer. The left knee and elbow pads has an L tag and my partner had to tell me which side goes up but otherwise user friendly. They are stuff type pads so elbow bending is slightly limited but I didn't notice any negative impact on the bend limitations in any of my joints.

Plus size? No problem!
So I was skeptical of my roller skating abilities, and figured I’d buy the gear just in case. I mean I’d never worn it as a kid, so I would probably be fine, but 21 years later has allowed me to think rationally, so I bought the gear.Thank god I did.As you can see in the photo, I no longer possess the balance, motor skills, and resilience necessary to roller skate. Had I not bought this gear, my skin would be medium-rare. I’ve also gained a couple hundred pounds since childhood, so I was worried the gear wouldn’t fit. It does!! As a very plus size woman, the gear fit. I put it on over a hoodie and my jeans as I was worried the straps might dig in, so that’s probably the best route if you’re XXL like me, but it fit over the clothes so I was happy.Overall I’m very grateful that this company made gear that would hold up, and especially gear that fits plus size folks. I’ll be buying it again if I ever muster the courage to skate again and manage completely destroy this set.

Decent but elbow pads not comfortable
Good product except for the elbow pads. They cut into my sons skin.

I waited until I fell to write a review
I have worn these daily for a few months. Finally I fell down. My hands and knee hit a concrete sidewalk. My hands were perfectly protected. My knee was not; I got a whole lot of damage to the skin which still hurts a week later.Cons: The plastic surfaces are not as slippery as they should be and they are easily damaged. The stitching was defective as received. I got a slight rash on my elbow from wearing them (without falling down).Pros: Comfortable, cheap.
