SCP The Tabletop RPG
T**N
Incredibly Detailed
An obvious passion project from the author with a detailed system which is easy to use.Still in the planning stages but in testing, combat works well and the mechanics are more player driven than those in similar RPG systems. I especially love the dice mechanics with skill systems accenting rolls.Speaking as the Game Master/Director - there is a lot of useful tips on running an effective game for both the players and the GM. My only critique would be that the model SCP's at the end of the book aren't very useful for initial campaigns. However, there is plenty of guidance on how to create your own SCP's.In short, if you're looking to run an SCP RPG campaign, get this book, you won't regret it.

Can practically smell the passion
If you are a fan of both the SCP universe and D&D then this book is a must have. It gives you some excellent ideas on how to incorporate elements from the SCP universe into your game in ways that are both fun for the players and faithful to the source material. My only real complaint is that there isn’t a hardbook cover since the front and back CAN bend a bit from reading (which is normal for paperback, just put some heavy stuff on the book after you are finished reading and it should flatten out).

Is a little hard to learn but interesting to play
Oh boy, I still can't fully wrap my head around the rules and how to roll. I play DnD so I'm no stranger to TTRPGs, and I do read and play around with SCPs a lot so super happy to find this. The skills and scenarios you can have make this much more interesting, especially with whatever your job title is.Might use this as an excuse to try and get some of my other friends who also play TTRPGs into SCP, maybe try to build my own campaign and see what happens. I'll play around with character building myself and whatnot to get a feel for it. Then get friends together and toss them in what's the worst that could happen?

Unrelated 13 page story included BETWEEN pgs 148-149??
The media could not be loaded. Looks good so far, seems well made and appears sturdy. However between Pages 148 149 there is a totally different book printed and bound into this that I don't think is appropriate for the topic. Kids typically are the ones that really enjoy SCP things, but the children's style book included in the center is not exactly a topic that fits? It's really tacky. I also feel that it detracts from and diminishes the subject of SCP and planning a campaign.Really disappointed. I'm going to contact the seller and/or maybe the publisher. There was no mention of this little 'treat' in the middle of everything. It's a gift for my 15yo, who is very into tabletop RPGs, and I feel I paid far too much for this to have something like that in it.I'll update later if necessary.Sorry the video is wonky and sideways, I could not for the life of me get it to turn the right direction, I recorded it twice! It is what it is... Lol
