BiGDUG Heavy Duty Workbench for Garage - 300kg per level (600kg capacity) - 90H x 120W x 60D - Red - Two Levels Workstation

I ordered 4 of these workbenches to reorganise my garage, with the intent to use them as both worktops and storage shelves.For the price paid they are a good product. In my opinnion they are fit for light DIY use and even light industrial use (ie assembly work, examination work, equipment storage, etc).However, the MDF tops are a weak point (they are relatively thin, unsealed, and seem to be prone to damage). Varnishing or covering them would be recommended if they are going to get a lot of use.The assembly was a mixed bag - some parts slotted in nicely others were a a bit fiddly and needed help from a rubber mallet, but I put up all 4 of mine on my own, with each workbench taking about 45mins from start to finish. I found a rubber mallet and a flat head screwdriver were essential to help with assembly, and likely you will too unless you have palms and fingers made of steel.I set the lower shelf at about the mid point during the assembly process - this is something I would recommend people think about and do at initial assembly as it would be a pain to adjust the lower shelf height later.As far as Customer Service is concerned BigDug were superb. I had a problem that needed to be dealt with - basically several MDF pannels arrived damaged (due to poor and rough handling by the Courier used to deliver them). I contacted BigDug and they were polite and helpful. I sent them over some photos and within 24 hours of them getting just a few of my photos of the damage they had dispatched replacement MDF panels.For the price paid I am happy with these workbenches. Hopefully they will hold up and last a few years.Maybe this quick review / feedback will be of use to someone.

Precision engineered, easy to assemble with a friend, easy to take apart if you make a mistake ( You do need a rubber mallet) perfect size for shed. Ideal for art and crafts workbench and storage. I do not need it for heavy duty tasks so perfect for me and an excellent price.

Strong bench. Needs to be bolted to a wall to ensure stability.

Bought this for a lightweight workbench and storage area, I personally would not describe the metal as heavy duty and the shelves aren't very thick but it seems sturdy enough and is more than ample for the use I am putting it to.Don't even think of attaching a heavy duty vice, or using this for working on heavy engine blocks, or doing a lot of hammering on as I don't think it would fare too well.Having said that, when you compare the price to other workbenches available, it is an excellent product for its price.

I'm using this is as a light weight workbench in a shed. It's well finished though the MDF shelves are fairly thin, however they do have reasonable support. It was easy to assemble and fit. Overall I'm happy with this purchase, specifically as a light weight bench.The item was delivered earlier than expected which I was very happy about.

I had the wrong item delivered, bigdug however corrected this instantly. When I got the correct item delivered it was easy enough to assemble. Some of the diagram could be a little bit clearer.

Thought materials a bit weak but does the job quality okEasy enough to assemble
