I don’t often give 1 star reviews but this case is terrible! I spent days looking through reviews for a case for my daughter and everyone talked about how durable this case is but I saw SEVERAL places it was very weak or poorly designed.Pros:It does look nice on the iPadSeems sturdy enough as far as dropsCorners well protectedPretty colorCons:The gray rim that touches the screen is VERY sharp and flimbsy. I was concerned that it would break and scratch the screen eventually.All of the ports are covered but the silicone cover is so thin at the points of stress for the flaps that I doubt they would last for long, especially for someone who needs a sturdy case, like a childThe connection between the 2 layers is a good idea as it sort of clicks into place, but it is very easy to disconnect and I suspect it would come apart with fidgety little hands.Sadly, we returned this and started the search again!

I was a bit worried about ordering a 3rd generation ipad case since most of the reviews aren't great. I'm glad I was able to find someone who had more good reviews than bad. And I'll add a 5 star review for the one I received!It arrived earlier than I thought. Packaged well. Nothing broken. Great color. Easy to clip on.I have not had any issues with charging it, or hearing low volume (sounds the same to me). It has all the cut outs needed.The stand isn't that difficult to open. And as long as you're not yanking on the kickstand it shouldn't break.The only thing I was a bit surprised about is that the kickstand is kinda short, so it leans back further than my old one. But it isn't a huge difference- I can still watch videos on it etc.The price was a little high but I feel that this case is a lot sturdier than my old one so I'm happy.

UPDATE: The back piece broke (26-Mar-2021), but the overall device is still protecting so I still give it 5 stars.I am one of those people that loves to have things to protect her electronics. Though my iPad is one of the older models, it works perfectly and I want to keep it working that way for as long as I can.I normally do not take my iPad out of the house; however, if I do, I want to have as much protection as possible. I usually wear a backpack and I tend to be a little brutal with my bag (dropping it on the floor, banging into stuff, etc.) - this offers me a feeling of protection (that actually works).It might be a little cumbersome for some people, but I love this.

You can not beat this price for quality. It is a knockoff of the otter box. Much more basic but all I need for an old iPad. I had an otter box on my iPad for years. I have the iPad to my son and he took the otter box off and (for some reason) threw it away. He didn't use the I pad so he gave it back to me. I didn't want to spend the money for an otter box, so I bought this instead. I put it on the iPad easily and it is exactly what I needed.

Nice, pretty rugged case for older iPads. My iPad 3 had an old case on it that was in pretty rough shape, and I wanted to start using it more again and needed a newer case. The case was easy to assemble and protects the iPad nicely. It's a bit bulky, but that is kind of the trade-off if you want a more protective case (and I want more protective)The only gripe I have is that the kickstand is only one length, so you cannot adjust the angle for viewing. And, it's kind of short, so the viewing angle is kind of raked back. I have to put other items under the kickstand to lift it up some to make the viewing angle a bit better.The rubber doors that cover various connections close up ok, but get out of the way if needed. The volume and power button areas work fine.All-in-all, a good case for the price.

Case is ideal for letting my toddler play her games and watch movies and whatnot but if I ever use the iPad (rarely) for reading or shopping the case has to come off every time;Too bulky for my taste and the charging port flap doesn't stay closed which drives me nuts. Beyond those shortcomings it's been a big, beefy, kid-proof case and that's precisely why I chose it.Kickstand works well albeit difficult to deploy and retract, no way my toddler could ever do it. But it works.

Overall the product is nice. Was easy to put this on my IPAD model A1396. The only issue I have is the charging port. The rubber flap will not fully seal. When you have to charge it you pull the flap up and insert the charger. Over time the rubber takes a set and you can never get it back to hold in place. The 2 small tabs do not stay in place to hold it down. I am afraid one day it will grab while putting in my backpack and tear. Would give give it 5 stars if the tab would seal. Not sure about the protectiveness of this case yet. Not going to do a drop test on purpose. May keep it, not sure yet, will look around to see if there is anything better for this price point.

Decent case but my biggest problem is that the screen is not covered. If you look at the pictures, it looks like the front of the case would have a clear plastic all the way across along with the thick plastic around the edges, but that's not the case. It literally just covers the edges in the front, leaving the actual glass screen completely exposed. I bought this to replace an Otter box that just recently bit the dust, but this is only going to be a temporary fix because I let my 5 year old play with this iPad and will need a case that also has a screen protector.

Sturdy, great case for a child. Protects, easy to put on. Great price
