The first recipe might be worth the cost of the book-can't wait to try the others.
I got this book because I don't want too many chemicals that no one knows if safe in my lotions and moisturizers. I have only made the first recipe but the book would be worth it just for that. I love the anti-aging facial moisturizer! My skin feels so good when I use it-just put it on at night and let it work it's magic. Only 3 natural ingredients! Easy to make-I am looking forward to trying the other recipes

Great reference book!
I really enjoyed reading this book! It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or more advance when making home made products. There is something for everyone in it. I made enough notes and highlights so I can make a quick reference to the material when I need to. Pictures are great as well!

Beginner? Can find same info on Pinterest
Just OK. I liked about 50% of the recipes in there...but most I could find on Pinterest. I just like paper formats, personally vs having to look at my phone for directions. Easy.

There are so many great recipes to pamper yourself
I originally bought this at Magnolia in Waco, TX and decided to buy it for my mom. There are so many great recipes to pamper yourself. Well worth it.

I received this as a gift from my lovely daughter. I have been making homemade soaps and beauty treatments for years; this book is packed with many recipes I have never heard of or tried. it's excellent- the only thing that would improve it is a "resource " section for some of those "ahrd to find" ingredients

This book is both beautiful and useful
This book is both beautiful and useful. The photographs are lovely and the content is thorough and practical. Just what I wanted in a down-to-earth natural beauty book. Would highly recommend as a gift for self or others!

Heavy on the essential oils
I received this book as a birthday gift. Its photography is nice (though I must admit, I'm never a fan of overly staged photos), and some of the recipes seem like fun to try. However, I have to give this book 2 stars for its inexcusably heavy use of essential oils.... 6 Tbsp of mixed oils with 30 drops of essential oil!? For a face oil?? Perhaps the authors have very thick, hardy skin, but to me, that is absolutely absurd. Please remember that essential oils are not sustainable and are unnaturally potent. It's best to infuse your oils with dried plants to extract benefits that way and use just a few drops of E.O.s.Lastly, it's a little incorrect to call facial oils or body butters moisturizing. They are, in fact, drying and reduce the body's natural production of oils. This is a beautiful book, but for individuals interested in herbalism, it will be disappointing.
