Sturdy Walking stick
A nice sturdy walking stick tall enough to provide good support and allow me to stand straight when I am walking. However, the surface is rough which rubs on my hand. I am looking for something soft and tight fitting to slip onto the top of the stick to make the grasp more comfortable.

Disappointed
I've been buying Whistle Creek hiking sticks for years. This is at least my 6th one, and everyone was top quality. This one is a piece of junk. I can't even believe that it is from the same company. Time to find something different.

Perfect height for me
I am truly enjoying my purchase. I walk uneven ground daily with my dog and the walking stick is terrific for keeping my balance. I used their height guidance for choosing the correct walking stick length, and the guide was on-point.

One of the best hiking staffs I ever had!
Very good finished lacquer and natural looks.The stick is straight and sturdy.Love the looks and happy to get it in a reasonable price for a product sent from such a great distance.- only "down-side" is very long shipment time. Had to wait more than 3 weeks. I do not blamer the sender though.Thanks for the service!Cheers!

It Will Do
it's ok...spendy...i got a lighter weight staff with a little wolf carving on the handle for $17 from Amazon and it's as good a staff but lighter...the packaging was terrible in a loose box way too big for the staff with a weird lid taped to the top...the staff was loose shaking back and forth in the box...when taking it out it looked 'used' with a tip that was dirty looking used...i put a new tip on it and will sand and varnish it. The staff is sturdy. The leather strap is too low.

Beautiful and servicable
I have never carried a walking stick before and do not like the looks of the aluminum folding type. I bought this actually as a weapon after a dog attack. Now when charged by a dog just setting the stick out in from of me while yelling seems to stop them. That aside I have found it great on steep trails with the loose rocks, guess it works like a third leg. Besides that I love would and think it is very pretty. Nice size and has a leather strap at the top. I only needed one also not a pair like the aluminum ones as I always have a dog leash in my other hand.
