Great saw for cutting branches, small trunks
I don't often need to saw/cut in my yard, so I didn't see the need to buy a chain saw. But I had a 25-year old "shrub" with a 7-in diameter trunk. This saw allowed me to trim the 1-to-1.5 inch branches in a matter of seconds each. I then scraped the soil down a little around the trunk and was able to cut it off flush with ground level. Another review suggested that the blade might not cut straight, but my experience was that the cut was completely flat. I was cutting green/live wood, and this blade went through it without binding. Very satisfied with this tool.

Good Saw for the money!
I purchased this saw for three uses, 1) clearing downed wood in our pasture, 2) processing firewood, and 3) carrying in a bushcrafting pack on overnight/weekend trips. For use #1, the saw excels, no complaints, goes through 10-12in diameter without issue. For use #2, once again, the saw excels as the downed wood is turned into firewood anyway. For use #3, the saw is small and light enough to perform good as a backpacking/bushcrafting saw. Although heavier than other backpacking bow saws, it goes through small trees well and is only a few ounces heavier. I also like that it's blaze orange so that it is less likely to be misplaced on the ground or lost in the evening at camp. The only reason I gave it four stars is a design feature I don't like. I replaced the pin at the toe with a wingnut and SS bolt for easier takedown and to strengthen the toe. Granted, the saw didn't break or anything during use, and I'm sure this is just a design feature the manufacturer employs to keep costs down, but it's a failure point that could easily be remedied. It was a $1 upgrade that really makes the saw bulletproof.Other than that, this thing is pretty good for $16 shipped.

High quality blade that's a universal fit for all 24" bow saws
I was a bit concerned that this blade was specific to Truper saws, though that's not the case. Perfect fit in my 30 year old "no name" band saw. Blade seems to be of very high quality. Shipping took a little longer than I'd have liked, though the blade was well wrapped and protected.

Failed on the first forward thrust
Do NOT buy this item. On the very first forward cutting stroke I made the front piece of hardware that secures the blade to the front of the frame failed, making the saw inoperable until I replaced the failed stainless steel unthreaded fastener. I replaced the failed piece with a stainless steel screw and nut which worked just fine. It's amazing that the manufacturer would use such a weak piece of hardware on a saw where the blade transfers a lot of force to the frame. Made in China, I should have guessed.

No complaints, only a lot of cut limbs
This is exactly what I needed for my wooded property where I'm constantly cutting limbs big and small. Plus the teeth are spaced far enough apart that I can get in there with my file to sharpen it. Light weight, simple design, effective and affordable. Even on the bigger limbs and smaller trunks, I'll still use the saw rather than the effort of getting the chainsaw going. Pleased with purchase and highly recommend.
