Defective or a design fail ARS fit system
With all of the rave reviews and the fact that it received five-star Virginia Tech ratings and one of the few models described by the manufacturer as a Fit-All – (Oval and Round shaped head), I was all excited about this Lazer Sphere helmet.Unfortunately, as much as I want to love this helmet it did not work for me. Either the ARS fit system is defective or a design fail. My head size is 59.5cm “Intermediate Oval”. I got the medium (55cm-59cm) so my head is actually outside of the upper range. The thumbwheel fit adjuster does work but despite tightening it as a far as it could go, the fit was still loose and wobbly which defeats the safety features of the helmet. Build quality seem to be decent. Style-wise, it’s actually a good-looking helmet. Proper fitting with the so-called Advanced Rollsys System (ARS) is where it failed.

Smudged finish
I liked the helmet but there was a flaw that wasn’t fixable. There was a red smudge at the front of the white helmet. Kelly’s bikes was very responsive and agreed to take it back.

Scores highly in Virginia Tech's helmet ratings
Virginia Tech rates this helmet the 23rd best of the 188 tested helmets they tested, giving it their highest (5*) impact testing rating that "evaluates a helmet's ability to reduce linear acceleration and rotational velocity of the head resulting from a range of head impacts a cyclist might experience".I hope never to test that performance personally. The 22 higher-ranked helmets were either unavailable, considerably more expensive, or geared towards mountain biking.Out of the box the helmet's cranium support system was maxed out, making it very loose on my head. However, there's a thumbwheel at the back of the helmet that I was able to tighten enough so that the L helmet snugly fit my head. I had measured my head size prior to ordering and I was at the very lowest end of the range for the L helmet so I believe the sizing is accurate.I got the bright red helmet because the more visible I am the better, and that's not just the narcissist in me speaking.

, why does this helmet come with a metal sphere?
, why does this helmet come with a metal sphere? There is a metal sphere ball in a plastic wrap that has “304” on it.

Perfect round for/Asian fit helmet
It’s really hard to find a round fit helmet here, and this fits perfectly. Not the perfect cosmetic details, but I would still give 5 stars considering how hard it is to find a fit.You can check the Lazer website for a size chart, and info about oval fit vs round fit.

Poor fit, wimpy retention system
As others mentioned, the fit is odd – there's a lot of excess room on the sides, causing the helmet to cock to the side. The retention system barely seems to do anything, other than ram the tiny front pads into your forehead. The overall quality is also poor. The plastic edges on the shell seem roughly cut.
