Excellent overall
This is a comprehensive set of bamboo double pointed needles with sizes ranging from US 0 to US 15 (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10.5, 11, 13. US sizes are weird)<b>Pros</b>:1. Comprehensive set2. Extremely inexpensive. $8 for any size I'd possibly need? Sign me up!3. Quick to arrive4. Larger sizes seem sturdy.5. MM sizes engraved on needles. Very handy!I've only used the size 4 needles so far and they have been fab.<b>Neutral:</b> This is an $8 set. There is no fancy packaging, but each size comes in its own little cellophane packet.<b>Cons:</b> I'm being nitpicky here. This is a full set of double-pointed needles for $8. And most of them are awesome. But you're going to want to be aware of the cons so you know what you're getting, so here goes:1. Some of the needles have a scent to them. I have a very sensitive nose and it's not overwhelming. However, if you have a super sniffer you might want to be aware that a couple of needles have a scent. To reiterate: It's not hideous, but it's there.2. The points on some of the smaller needles are inconsistent. I apologize that there is no picture to demonstrate. On all of my other pictures Amazon was all, "I'll upload these no problem!" but for some reason it had a hissy fit on the one showing the differences in points. Most are uniform, but I had a couple of super sharp ones and a couple of blunt ones. One is literally squared off. Not a huge deal is it's on one of the very small sizes so will unlikely to be used much. Which leads into point 3...3. Although the smaller size are included I would caution that they are VERY thin. Bamboo plus teeny tiny needles = easy to bend and break. To use US sizes 0-3, you would need to be *excessively* gentle and careful with them. If you're looking for mainly tiny sizes, this set of needles may not be for you and I advise looking at much sturdier steel or aluminum needles.4. For the most part, the larger the needles are, the smoother they are. The size 4 that I have used are fine, but I have noticed when running my fingers over some of the others that they are not completely smooth. I would have to knit with them to find out if they need to be sanded - according to my fingers they'll probably be ok, but yarn may express a different opinion. Only one has a large defect though...which brings me to point 5.5. One has a large defect that will make it impossible to use without modification (see photo). I'm ok with 1/75 being a bit dodgy.6. Almost all the needles have the size engraved on them. A couple the engraving didn't quite take. Meh. Not a huge problem. It's just something to note.Overall, after using them (well...one size...) for a few days I'm very happy with these needles. I recommend them for beginners. If you're an expert knitter who knits a lot and knits fast, these are not the needles for you...you're going to want a much more sturdy and expensive set. However, for a beginner these are perfect. :kisses fingers:

Highly Disappointed!
The value was great; however, I should've looked at the reviews prior to purchasing. I started with the size 2.25mm for a baby project and I hadn't even finish casting on when the needle began splitting and breaking into the yarn. There was no way I was having splinters in a baby project, so I discarded the used yarn, packaged the needles, and boxed them up to return immediately.

These are useless! They shred the yarn!
Because of the price and my past positive experiences with carbonized bamboo knitting needles, I ordered a second set of these on the same day this first set was delivered to me. However, after actually using them, I am very frustrated with the poor quality. The tapered ends are unsealed and rough. They catch on the yarn when knitting, which makes them completely unusable. If a clear sealer was applied to the tapered sections so they match the middle sections (which have been sealed), they would be usable, but who has time to do that? These needles are rejects. I cannot recommend them at all.The points of these needles are not smooth or sealed like the center sections are.===================•=====Later: We were in the process of returning them when we decided to order some clear spray varnish to use on the points. This has essentially doubled the cost of these needles but hopefully they’ll be usable. We’re still unhappy because this is something the seller should have taken care of first.

Great for the price
These just arrived today, perfect timing for me to finish the tip of my hat with the 8mm size. The millimeter sizes are engraved on each of them. The bigger ones feel pretty sturdy. I definitely think that the littlest ones could break easily. The 8mm worked well and were slicker than the circular Clover bamboo ones that I was using for most of the hat. I didn’t have the same issue with having to sand them down that some of the other reviewers had. For the price and how many you get, these are great.

Great for the price as long as you're not picky.
Update: I've been using these for about a year and a half and they're still going strong. I only knit as a hobby so they dont get used all the time, but they've definitely exceeded my expectations.They work well for the money. I did have a splintering issue with the smaller sizes, but for the price i wouldn't expect them to be perfect.
