Women's Luxury Terry Cloth Bathrobe - Bamboo Viscose Robe by Texere

I had one of these robes that got left behind in a move across the country, so I put this on my wish list for another to replace it. Amazon suggested that I get a L/XL, and it was ridiculously huge on me (5'5", 140 lbs), so I had to send it back for the S/M which fits much better. This is a great robe to warm you up when you get out of the shower on a chilly day, and it dries you off nicely. It is also great to take to the pool if there is a cool breeze. However, it is extremely heavy, especially when wet, so it's not really packable. I do think the quality is not quite as high as when I got my first robe and bought many for gifts about 5 years ago. This one had a lot of loose threads to cut off. But it does the job. (note: the sleeves are 3/4)

Much heavier than I expected for what I paid for it, so that was a welcome surprise. And it is very long, so that will be a little sewing project for me, but perfect for its first task, which will be as a foundation for a "crazy cat lady" Halloween costume.

Nice robe but more of a large than extra large one.... but sill good.

Updated review:I am leaving my original review below as a caution. Make sure your order is fulfilled by Amazon to get a genuine Texeresilk robe. Avoid the seller Samudy like the plague!The gentlemen at Texeresilk reached out to me after reading my review and let me know that I must have received a counterfeit robe rather than one of their manufacture. After speaking with them, I concur. The counterfeit robe is definitely not bamboo, but is instead synthetic fleece, and it shipped from China instead of the US. Samudy is blatantly trying to steal business by using the Texeresilk name.Now, on to the actual Texeresilk product: Texeresilk has gone above and beyond the call of duty in customer service. The fulfilment department realized that they didn't currently carry my size robe (2x) as this size is just now in the process of being added to their product line. This size won't be available for a couple of months, at which time they will ship one. In the interim, as they wanted me to see the quality of THEIR genuine product, they shipped a complimentary 2x spa set consisting of a hair wrap and towel wrap.The fabric is a bamboo/cotton blend (60/30) and is lightweight, buttery soft, and very absorbent. The seams are sturdily sewn and the cut is true to size. No chilly gap in the front here! It wraps generously around me and stays up with a combination of Velcro and softly elastic top edge. Amazingly, the hair wrap is able to contain all of my hair with room to spare. I say amazingly because my hair is mid thigh length and on the way to knee length. An ordinary towel turban leaves a foot of hair free to drip, but the curved pocket design of this hair wrap contains all my hair with ease and doesn't tangle it. It thirstilly absorbs water which greatly speeds the dry time of my hair.Thank you guys! I'm looking forward to the robe arriving and will update this again at that time. In the interim, your customer service is stellar and your textile is lovely. I am increasing the star rating from 1 (reflective of the counterfeit robe) , to 4 (reflective of the quality of customer service and the excellent textile and craftsmanship. I chose this one for the many reviews touting how warm and soft it is and pulled the trigger on ordering. Soft it is, but the fabric is woven of sorrow and disappointment. First, it came from China which meant a long delay before arrival. The listing of Prime led me to expect it in days, not in weeks. Perhaps it took a while to reap enough sorrow to make it.It arrived today and I eagerly opened the parcel. Inside, a very soft bathrobe in a lovely shade of cotton candy pink. Holding it up, yes it is short, but since I'm 5'2" I don't object to that.As I tried it on the sorrowful strains of violin began to stream from the fabric. Such promise and hope dashed to shreds on the shoals of some factory in China. I had ordered a 2x as I am a woman of substance. The parcel claimed 2x. The garment proclaimed instantly that 2x is a lie. The robe has a foot wide gap in the front. Closing isn't even a wild dream. The shoulders strain across the back, and I am not sporting the shoulders of a linebacker ...not even Joan Collins in huge shoulderpads shoulders. The sleeves are straining on my decidedly average biceps and end above my wristbones. The cut of this is most definitely NOT a 2x. It is at most a medium and more accurately a small. Money wasted since it is not worth the hassle and postage to return this to China. I remain a cold and unhappy camper. :(

It's an awesome and luxurious robe, very soft and cozy, but a side seam split after third wash, it has a huge hole now. I'm contemplating mending it myself, I'm not sure I want to deal with a return, it's so nice I cannot believe it just tore like that.

This has to be the heaviest robe I've ever owned... Which isn't a bad thing, just something to get used to. It being so heavy will probably be really nice in the winter. I washed it once before wearing and just like in other reviews, the inside tie frayed, but its something that I can live with. Overall im happy with this purchase.I love the color!

I had a Textere robe for over 10 years and laundered it at least 50 times. I loved it so much that I continued to wear it long after I needed a new one. For months (or longer) it stated "out of stock, don't know when it will be available", so I was thrilled when it was back and available to order. I ordered 3, 2 for gifts. It's pretty, soft and comfy but anything that touches it will snag it and leave long threads you have to cut off! So now it looks worn and cheap, long bare spots, etc. What happened to your quality? This doesn't even compare with the robe I wore over 10 years. That one never snagged. I wore it out but it's as soft and comfy as it ever was, just looks worn. I'm embarrassed that I gave these as gifts and my daughter and granddaughter are experiencing the same issue. The robe you're selling now is FAR inferior and I don't think it's even made by the same company?? Long story short, the 3 of us continue to wear the robe because we had no idea how it would look after just a few wearings and it's the only robe we have. I'm hoping this is going to be addressed as I have seen several reviews that have the same problem. I would definitely not buy again. So sad to be stuck with a cheaply made product after waiting so long to find it. It's pretty and the colors are lovely, but the quality of material and workmanship is extremely poor. Not happy.

I haven’t washed or worn it yet but it feels nice and it’s the right size, nice and long.
