Junk; if you can find a similar product from another manufacturer, get that, not this
So,Update: This stopped working right after my original (bad) review (below)! ....I have been using previous models of this Adesso keyboard for more than 10 years.Wireless, touchpad beneath the spacebar, usb dongle, laptop size keyboard. It's a great form factor for me. I don't expect these to last very long, and I've been ok with that for the previous two models, because maybe I use them hard.I just got this keyboard to replace one that was going bad. This model is clearly inferior in every respect, to the point where I might even return it. But what would I get instead? I don't know of anyone else who makes anything similar. Touchpad on the side? That requires moving my hand. Full keyboard with touchpad in the middle? That's big and cumbersome in my lap, and I don't need a dedicated number pad, so I'd end up with the keyboard off-center. I like the layout, which has pretty much been retained.I also don't use this keyboard to control a system across the room, so do not know if the wireless signal strength is worse. But I would not be surprised. The rest is all bad:* Worse usb dongle. Previous models had a larger, magnetize dongle that fit nicely on the underside of the keyboard when not in use. The new dongle is smaller, and there's nowhere to put it. Don't lose it!* Cheap, loud, rickety keys: I could type quickly and with confidence on previous models. The keys wobble on this model. My spouse can hear the keys all the way in the kitchen. Key presses don't always take. Maybe I'll get used to typing on this, maybe not. But 'getting used' to this keyboard won't be about realizing that this is a decent keyboard but about learning to live with a bad keyboard.* Did I mention that the keys are not so good? I've typed on worse keyboards, but I've been typing on keyboards for more decades than I care to remember.* Unlike some reviewers, I have not yet had any problems with the touchpad. It doesn't feel quite as good as previous models. This might just be a matter of acclimatization.I'm tempted to give this back, and might within a few days. I was willing to accept that Adesso keyboards are not durable because I found them very functional. This one, not so much.If you do not need this form factor, get a different keyboard. If you do need this form factor, you might be kind of stuck, and in the words of Ming the Merciless, need to learn how to live with less. Why don't other manufacturers make this kind of keyboard? :(

This thing drives me nuts. The trackpad keeps freezing.
The trackpad keeps freezing and you have to hit a key to free it up again. This is the third unit that does this. It's happens every couple minutes when using the trackpad. The old model used to be so much better. Unfortunately there's no better alternatives to this. It's strange that more manufacturers don't make laptop-style keyboards with trackpad on the bottom. These are perfect for when you have a computer connected to a TV.

Works great for me!
This is my keyboard of choice. I use it in probably an offbrand way. I don't use the touchpad. I use an ergonomic hand held mouse. So I put some post it's over the touchpad and some scotch tape to hold it down. What I do really like is that the additional length of the keyboard because of the touchpad is a perfect rest for my wrists. I can type on this and my wrists do not get tired. I have tried keyboards where I use the gel cushion and that doesn't work for me. This keyboard has a very comfortable place for my palms and wrists. The feel of the keys and the functionality of the keyboard is excellent. The last one I purchased lasted seven years and the only reason I bought a new one was to update. My old one still works beautifully even after occasional spills or food. So I'm keeping it is my backup.

Terrible quality
I own 8 of these in my dental office and they consistently have problems. I continue to buy them because they are the only decent full keyboard that will fit in our compact keyboard trays. The biggest problem is keys that randomly stop working or that have to be pressed very hard to register the keystroke...this is a constant problem after only 1 year of use. I would absolutely switch to a different brand but unfortunately Adesso is still the best keyboard in this size. I've tried a few other brands but they've been terrible for connectivity.Adesso at least has a stable connection but you do have to use separate dongles for mice and keyboards. Overpriced garbage
