Works as expected but not out of box
I expected out of box ready to go product. However, I had to register online, download BMW package to configure the scanner in the configuration I expected (it is said NT530 for BMW). The whole process was very confusing in determining what's missing and how the installation works. Eventually figured out and the installation is simply putting the right software package onto the micro SD card included. The device appears to load them directly off the micro SD card on every use (slow). So 1 star off for it not being ready to go, another star off for the confusing instruction.

I'm buying more scanners in the near future
For the money this tool is absolutely amazing. I have tried several different scan tools that claim to be o.e. level diagnostics and before this one none have even came close. Is this tool actually o.e.? I don't think so but the fact that it has any bi-directional functionality, and is under 200 dollars is completely amazing. With this tool I so far have been able to diag a evap issue, bleed the brakes on a 05 E53 that was towed in from another shop. This particular model required the automated brake bleeding procedure. And I spent I spent less then 200 dollars. I will definitely be purchasing more foxwell scanners in the future. And keeping an eye on the company they are putting huge capabilities into the hands of weekend warriors

Where's the missing items ?
What happened to the shipping box ? Product was thrown inside a Prime plastic parcel bag, without any protective cardboard or bubble wrap as a bare minimum. Purchase description clearly stated "Condition: New" ? Appears item has been previously shipped and quite possibly returned by another purchaser, and two items are missing - the USB cable and the micro-card reader ?

I don’t know if it’s any good , I don’t own a BMW
I didn’t understand when I bought it that it was only for one auto manufacturer , it wasn’t made clear in their ad . Now I have to purchase software , not happy !

Works great.
Only issue I have is that this was bought for my work and my IT department has to physically enter the admin password to allow me to access the software in the computer when adding updating or adding new manufacturers. Not major, but make sure you are the admin/owner of your computer. They tried many times giving me permissions, but our systems weren’t happy with Foxwells requirements. Once I get a member of my company’s IT department to come to my desk and enter their password for access the software it performs perfectly. As a general use OBD scanner, I’m happy with it. I also have only used 3 other cheap scanners in the past so I don’t know exactly all the ins and outs at this time.I bought this with the loaded BMW software (also came with Mini and Rolls Royce). If I’m working on a RR, something amazing or terrible has happened. Anyways the BMW software was awesome for what I needed it to do which was to tell me trans temps. I also played around with opening the sunroof and other modules to see what all was possible. Very happy with my purchase!!
