So Let It Be Written: The Biography of Metallica's James Hetfield Paperback – 27 April 2017

My brother in law is a metal head and requested this book for his birthday. His take - good but not great

I'm a middle-aged, female teacher, and on a whim, I bought this and found myself intrigued by the man that is James Hetfield. I grew up on his music and love Metallica. It was fun to read about his journey so far and his success. I still love their music and I truly hope James will go out on his own someday and be just as successful with country music as he was with thrash and heavy metal. He seems to be doing his best as a spouse, father, friend and christian gentleman. He also has gracefully aged and handled all the things life throws at you quite well. You go James!!

Bin dann leider doch etwas enttäuscht. Entgegen dem Titel handelt es sich nämlich weniger um eine Biographie des Metallica Frontmanns James Hetfield, sondern eher um eine kurze und allgemeine Bandgeschichte. Über Hetfield erfährt man nichts Neues, nur die üblichen Allgemeinplätze. Schade, hatte mir deutlich mehr erhofft und wollte mehr über die schillernde Persönlichkeit erfahren. Zumindest mehr als "er war ein introvertierter Zeitgenosse". Daher nur zwei Punkte.

Great book and great read! Recomended. Hetfield power!!!Great piece for a true fan. doesn't disapoint. It has the myth covered.
