Kingfisher 9KG Cast Iron Effect Base

Ideal base for parasols.
Heavy durable base for a parasol. Ideal for use with a patio table with centre hole and really holds the bottom steady. The great point about this one is the large range of pole diameters it can handle with the supplied adaptor rings.

but could do with being heavier when used as a free standing umbrella stand as it is easily blown over with a in a fairly light
Is ok, but could do with being heavier when used as a free standing umbrella stand as it is easily blown over with a in a fairly light wind. Better used as a stand when the umbrella passes through a table

Great product.
Spent ages searching garden centres and DIY retailers for something sturdy but portable to hold my garden parasols. Spotted this on Amazon and its so perfect I bought two. They are not too heavy to move but strong enough to support the parasols and hold them firm in the wind. They are also stylish. They arrived earlier than predicted and they were really simple to assemble.I love this product.

They are good value for the money
This is second one of these bases I have purchased. They are good value for the money. As a female snr citizen they are not too heavy to move around when needed, though heavy enough to be stable. Only criticism I have when the sleeve for umbrella is inserted into base the securing screw takes some fixing. I feel this needs some attention. Otherwise good value for money.

Good parasol base.
Good solid parasol base. Has a sort of antique patina to it. Check the diameter of your pole as the socket on this is quite wide for the bigger beefier parasol posts. At 9Kg it is reasonably portable whilst still providing a stable base. Recommended.

NOT STURDY ENOUGH FOR LARGE PARASOL
I purchased this base as recommended by the Kingfisher parasol. This base is not sturdy or heavy enough to securely keep the large parasol in place. Our base was cracked and missing fixings so we had a replacement sent. The parasol base moves in the wind so there is a health & safety issue. We have now used sand bag weights on top of the base to give it additional weight.

it's very heavy so it may have been good had it not been cracked but we've sent it ...
It arrived cracked, it's very heavy so it may have been good had it not been cracked but we've sent it back. I'm going to buy an actual cast iron one instead.

All good but prices are weird.
Funny thing Amazon, I was looking for a parasol stand, saw this and put it on my watch list along with a couple of others (just so I could find them easy) it was £18.99, so after I finished looking I go back and deside on this one but the price goes up to 22.99 when I click on it? I could not work it out either. As It was going under an enclosed table it really was not going to be seen so I bought a "used, very good" from the warehouse at £16.50, arrived and put together and it is fine, and yes it does fit a 50mm pole. When my wife came home she liked it so much she was sad that it could not be seen. The reason for 4 stars is it had a couple of fitting missing for smaller poles even though I did not need them I might well have with a different size pole.So it does it's job looks good (not as good as a real cast iron one) made of a very heavy resin and well made, overall very happy.
