Glad I impulse purchased these
Didn’t think I’d use them very often, more of a “rather have and not need than need and not have” kinda thing .. I find myself using them almost every single trip .. porch over tent or hammock to chill under, crappy tent purchase that only came with 3 of the 4 required poles, turned a poncho into a shelter on an unexpected rainy trip .. very adjustable, very sturdy, relatively light if a bit bulky .. the top spike and the attached plastic double D fasteners make setting up in the dark and rain almost instinctual .. one of my better impulse purchases

Great Product
These work great. Very sturdy. Used them through so big rain storms and they never failed. They worked so good I ordered a second set so now I have four total.

Product quality seems fine … but instructions are minimal and I have questions.
It seems as if you need to use two guy lines for each pole for a total of 4 lines per set of two poles. The set only comes with 2 guy lines and two stakes …. I am confused by this … and now need to go buy more lines and stakes. Also not sure if the guy lines are supposed to attach to the pole through the two loops at the top of the pole or through the grommets of the tarp. I have spent a lot of time on the internet today researching this but there are so many different versions of how to do this …. Hikeman really needs at least some better video directions. One that I did find was ver short and very fast. Not particularly helpful.

Heavy duty poles for car camping or for around the house.
This is not a hiker's tent pole! Nor is it advertised as such. But, it is an adjustable set of 2 poles that work to hold a tarp over my back deck to protect primarily against the sun, but also the rain. The Jersey Shore gets a lot of wind. So build sockets for the base, and use a heavy tarp, and guy lines. Um, well, yeah, take it down prior to a hurricane! They would work with a small travel trailer, too!
