Q: So, this gun is too large for 12" OC?

The tool is a little over 10" tall, 12" OC framing leaves about 10.5" between members. I have used mine on 12" OC but it is close.

Q: Does it come with a case or bag? If not, is there one available?

It just came in a box. I don't know if there is a specific bag you can purchase for it.
